<p>The shocking details are being reported by local media outlets like Beaver Countian, based on interviews with local police sources.</p>

<p>"There were three counter-snipers located in the building that the shooter eventually used to take shots at Trump," an officer was quoted as saying by BeaverCountain.com</p>

<p>According to the report, an officer even took a photo of the shooter.</p>

<p>It is being reported that Crooks managed to scale the roof through an air conditioning unit.</p>

<p>Law enforcement sources cited by the outlet said lack of manpower and "extremely poor planning" put Trump's life in danger.</p>

<p>Making him legally ineligible, through criminal convictions in any one of the cases, was one possibility. There are other ongoing cases related to the Capitol Hill riots of 6th January 2021, election interference cases arising from Trump's refusal to accept the verdict of November 2020 that made Biden the president, as well as those related to his financial dealings and tax dodges.&nbsp;</p>

Their race was tied, as per the poll, which also gave an edge to Harris in case she is fielded against Trump. But with the attempt on his life, any replacement for Biden also looks improbable.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is also important that the shooting happened in Pennsylvania. With 19 electoral votes, which is one of the highest when compared to its population, the Rust Belt state holds key importance in every election season. It has often been right in predicting who will be the president, meaning, whoever wins Pennsylvania wins the presidency, most of the time. It is a swing state, as it did not vote specifically for either Democrats or Republicans on a regular basis.</p>

<p>The FBI has identified the suspected gunman, who was shot and killed by the Secret Service, as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks. According to reports, the shooter and a bystander lost their lives in the incident.</p>

<p>While the world leaders are expressing their shock and condemning such an act of violence, some social media users are spinning conspiracy theories.&nbsp;</p>

<p>One popular theory claims that 'The Simpsons' predicted an assassination attempt on Donald Trump. This theory gained traction after a user suggested that the animated series, known for its satirical portrayal of middle-class American life and uncanny predictions, had predicted the incident.</p>

<p>Sharing a series of screenshots from the episode, one user said, "The Simpsons have some explaining to do."</p>
