A train slammed into the end of a&nbsp;platform during the morning rush hour at a busy station in Barcelona on Friday, leaving at least 54 people injured.

Many of the passengers were already standing, ready to get off, when the train crashed, Reuters quoted&nbsp;La Vanguardia newspaper. At the time of the accident many passengers were travelling standing up, which increased the number of injuries, AFP reported.

The train travelling from Sant Vicenc de Calders, ran into buffers at the station in the morning, a spokesman for Spanish train operator Renfe told AFP.

The Capital Express train derailment in the Alipurduar district of India&rsquo;s West Bengal on Tuesday&nbsp;left two passengers dead and six injured according to the statement issued by Northeast Frontier Railway.

Around 9.15 pm local time, the engine and two coaches of the UP-Capital Express train derailed near the Samuktala Road station in Alipurduar district.

The derailment took place when the train was Guwahati bound from Bihar&#39;s Danapur.&nbsp;Several trains have been stalled across stations in West Bengal.

The stranded 150 passengers of the train were taken back to Alipurduar through the Khamakya-Alipurduar Junction Intercity Express.
