'The Kashmir Files' to release in Israel with Hebrew subtitles

<p>Reacting to the recently released Bollywood film ' The Kashmir Files', which has kicked up a political storm in India, CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury said the movie will have ramifications on the ground, and it will worsen the situation.</p>

<p>He said that it was not only Kashmir Pandits but also Muslims and Sikhs who suffered in the valley. &nbsp;</p>

<p>He also questioned the filmmakers of 'The Kashmir Files' for failing to highlight&nbsp;the role of&nbsp;the then governor Jagmohan Malhotra during the exodus.</p>

<p>Yechury said that every community was hit by the militancy equally. Citing a recent RTI reply by Srinagar Police, he said that 89 pandits and 1,635 Muslims and people of other faiths were killed since the inception of the militancy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The people belonging to any religion or sect including Muslims, Sikhs and Kashmir Pandits have suffered equally in Kashmir. Why did only the Pandits leave?'' asked Sitaram Yechury.</p>

<p>CPI(M) Kashmir leader Muhammad Yosuf Tarigami, who was accompanying Yechury, said that the party would demand an independent probe to check the authentic facts on the ground on who suffered in the valley.</p>

He was referring to the 2019 Christchurch mosque shootings in which a single gunman killed 51 people and injured 40.<br />
<br />
"Mainstream Muslims have both in this country and around the world readily and rightly denounced all forms of terrorism on the basis that committing violence in the name of Islam is not Muslim.''<br />
<br />
"Neither should steps taken against Islamophobia mistakenly lead to the shielding of terrorists in the name of Islam," Peters wrote.<br />
He further said that terrorism in all its forms, no matter what its source, should be "exposed and opposed".<br />
<br />
"This attempt at selective censorship would amount to one further attack on the freedom of New Zealanders and people worldwide," he added.</p>

'The Kashmir Files' Twitter Review: Netizens call it a heart-wrenching story that everyone should watch

<p>A Jammu district judge has restrained by way of temporary injunction from showing the scenes depicting the acts pertaining to martyr Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna in the movie 'The Kashmir Files'.</p>

<p>Deepak Sethi, Additional District Judge, Jammu in an order on Thursday. The plaintiff filed the suit for mandatory injunction wherein it is stated that the plaintiff herself has attended the premiere of the movie being released on 11th of March 2022 and the facts pertaining to the husband of the plaintiff herein have been wrongly portrayed but also tend to demean and belittle the sanctity of the husband of the plaintiff in the particular and whole fraternity of soldiers in general.<br />

Some serious flaws were there and it is not based on true facts.<br />

After watching the premiere of the movie facts were brought to the notice of defendants but the same was not attended to by the defendants.<br />

The suit sought mandatory injunction directing the defendants to immediately remove and delete the scene and incorrect facts displayed/shown vis-a-vis the husband of the plaintiff, Shalini Khanna namely Martyr Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna in the movie and the trailer of the Movie 'The Kashmir Files', released on 11.03.2022, which is absolutely and entirely unrelated and non-identical to actual facts occurred as mentioned in the suit by the plaintiff; or in the alternate to amend/alter the scene and the incorrect facts vis-a-vis the husband of the plaintiff namely Martyr Squadron Leader Ravi Khanna.</p>

Therefore,&nbsp;the prior notice under order 39 rule 3 CPC is dispensed with and given the facts as stated in the plaint the defendants are restrained by way of temporary injunction from showing the scenes depicting the acts pertaining to the husband of the plaintiff namely Martyr Squadron leader Ravi Khanna in the Movie The Kashmir Files had&nbsp;released on 11th of March 2022. This order is however subject to objections, alterations or modification if any by the other side."</p>
