A chicken got loose&nbsp;on the tracks of Mexico City's subway system, causing service to be briefly suspended.

The city's Metro system released video on Monday showing the power shutting out at a station in the city's centre on Sunday.

The footage shows maintenance workers and civil defence officers&nbsp;in hard helmets pursuing the elusive bird around the tracks with brooms, gloves, and a garbage bag, reported the Associated Press.

The chicken evaded repeated efforts to trap it before one worker tossed&nbsp;his coat over it.

In May 2021, an elevated piece of the underground system collapsed, killing 26 people and wounding almost 100. An inquiry blamed faults in the line's design, and 10 previous officials have been charged with death, injury, and property damage, however none have been imprisoned.

Sheinbaum, like the president, frequently blames losses on a conservative plot against her.

Earlier last year, López Obrador directed 6,000 National Guard personnel to guard tube stations.

Reportedly, a woman was recently caught on camera travelling in a subway train in China's&nbsp;Hubei province for her rather offbeat dress code. The woman sitting on the seat wrapped herself in a big plastic bag before eating a banana she had brought with her.

According to local media reports, the antics of the woman caught the eye of a fellow passenger, surnamed Wang. He recorded the video out of amusement to see what the lady was up to.&nbsp;

“There are sporadic coronavirus outbreaks across Wuhan, but in my opinion, it is a bit extreme for this woman to protect herself like this,” Wang was quoted as saying by a local publication.&nbsp;

“While it is not ideal to eat inside subway trains. She isolated herself from other people by wrapping herself in a plastic bag,” he added.

Notably, eating on subway trains is prohibited in China. However, the woman used a clever loophole to find her way and dodge the country's stringent Covid rules

At a news conference with Mayor Eric Adams at the station, Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said that the man, who was believed to have shoved the 40-year-old woman, fled the scene at first but turned himself in to transit police a little while later. &nbsp;&nbsp;

When the victim was apparently shoved, she was waiting for a southbound R train around 9:40 am, the police said. The victim was a city resident. &nbsp;&nbsp;

"This incident was unprovoked, and the victim does not appear to have had any interaction with the subject," Sewell said. &nbsp;&nbsp;
