A Swedish couple Rasmus Persson and Linda Karlsson came up with the idea after having lunch with Karlsson's parents. The restaurant will be opening on May 10 and will be open till August 1.&nbsp;

Sweden is currently not under lockdown and the country has asked to practice social distancing rather than self-isolation.&nbsp;

The Swedish couple thought of such a restaurant after Persson, who is also a former chef, served lunch to his in-laws through a window to a nicely set table outside.

France's Mirazur restaurant -- whose Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco draws inspiration from the sea, the mountains, and his own garden -- was crowned Tuesday the world's best by an influential trade list, beating contenders from Denmark and Spain.

The accolade came just months after Colagreco was handed a third Michelin star, and was the first time a French establishment has triumphed in the World's 50 Best Restaurant list.

"I'm in the sky and I'm waiting to come back here," Colagreco said as he collected his award for his restaurant in the French Riviera town of Menton. "I don't have words to explain," he said.

In second spot in the awards -- which took place in Singapore, their first time in Asia -- was Noma in Copenhagen, and third was Asador Etxebarri in Spain.

Gaggan in Bangkok was fourth, the highest ranked Asian restaurant. Fifth was Geranium in Copenhagen, and sixth was Central in Lima, tagged as Best in South America.

The top restaurant award has gone to Spain seven times, the most of any country. Last year Italy's Osteria Francescana took the number one spot.

Mirazur took the third spot in the awards last year.

- 'Feet on the ground' -

After his victory was announced, Colagreco took to the stage joined by his Brazilian wife carrying a banner representing four flags -- those of Argentina, Brazil, France and Italy.&nbsp;

"Thank you my team. You deserve it, all these years. Thank you friends for supporting us during these last 13 years," he said.

Colagreco is the only foreign chef working in France to have been awarded three Michelin stars. He opened the restaurant in 2006 and was awarded his first star the following year, before getting his second in 2012.

The Argentine-born chef moved to France in 2001 and worked with Bernard Loiseau, Alain Passard and Alain Ducasse before spending a year at Le Grand Vefour.

He said that he ended up in Menton by chance.&nbsp;

"The owner of the place was the perfect stereotype of an Englishman on the Cote d'Azur, a white linen outfit and a Panama hat," he told AFP in a recent interview.

"He saw that I had no money but he wanted to know what an Argentine was doing in Menton... He rented me his restaurant for a ridiculous sum."

This "gave me a lot of freedom" to experiment, he said.

The early days were tough but since being awarded the second star the restaurant has seen its popularity grow.

Mirazur, located in southeast France near the Italian border, offers dishes made with ingredients from Colagreco's own backyard farm, including fresh vegetables and seafood.

Despite his growing fame, Colagreco said that he wants to "keep his feet firmly on the ground."

For their first foray into Asia, award organisers picked Singapore, which is well-known for its buzzing culinary scene.&nbsp;

But Europe continued to dominate with 25 restaurants named in the best 50, including seven in the top 10. Asia won seven, the United States six, and Latin America six.&nbsp;

The awards are organised by British magazine Restaurant, owned by William Reed Media.&nbsp;

They were launched in 2002 and are now as coveted as Michelin stars, although the methodology used to select the best restaurants has faced criticism, especially from several French chefs who say it remains unclear.

There are no criteria for putting a restaurant on the list, which is based on an anonymous poll of more than 1,000 chefs, restaurant owners, food critics and other industry insiders from around the world.

But in fact this is only a replica after the building where the US fast food chain once had its restaurant was taken over by rebels and now local entrepreneurs have opened their own cafe, with just a few tweaks. 
 
Its facade has been modified and now reads &quot;Burger&quot;, the name of the new restaurant, and it is decked out with a flag of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People&#39;s Republic. 
 
Inside hungry diners cannot tuck into the world-famous &quot;Big Mac&quot;, but they can enjoy a very similar &quot;Big Mag&quot; burger. 
 
&quot;That&#39;s how it goes here: department stores and cafes are taken over by the authorities, they only change the name slightly,&quot; said 18-year-old student Nikita, who refused to give his surname due to security fears, enjoying a meal with four friends. 
 
&quot;They can&#39;t invent anything new.&quot; 
 
Nikita and his classmates have been visiting the &quot;Burger&quot; restaurant regularly since it was reopened two months ago. 
 
The students say they used to come to the McDonald&#39;s before the conflict between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists tore through this industrial region, claiming some 9,500 live since April 2014. 
 
But they complain about the significantly increased prices in the place since it reopened under the new management. 
 
&quot;Now we can afford only two portions of French fries. It has become too expensive here, although initially this place was designed for students,&quot; Nikita laments adding that a serving of fries costs some 90 rubles (about one euro). 
 
The US firm, which in 2014 closed all its restaurants in the rebel-controlled areas, said in a statement that they &quot;have nothing to do with business activities in the premises of McDonald&#39;s&quot; in the rebel strongholds of Lugansk and Donetsk. 
 
The company has complained to the Ukrainian government about the &quot;illegal seizure of the premises&quot; in the conflict zone. 
 
But local customers say they find the food being served now similar enough to original. 
 
Dan Bertsch, an American from Virginia in his fifties who arrived in Lugansk three years before the start of the conflict to marry a local woman, is among them. 
 
&quot;In America I do not eat a lot in McDonald&#39;s but in Lugansk I think it is nourishing to have a hamburger,&quot; said Bertsch, who wore a t-shirt with the image of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The manager of &quot;Burger&quot;, 25-year-old Sergei, who gave only his first name, said the higher prices are down to difficulties in getting food delivered to the conflict-wracked region, but he insisted quality has gone up.

&quot;There is a difference in the quality of ingredients, ours are better. We bring them frozen from Finland via Russia.&quot;

Housewife Elena waited 40 minutes in the crowded establishment to place an order for her son.

Bangladeshi troops stormed a cafe popular with foreigners in the diplomatic zone of the capital Dhaka after suspected Islamist militants took dozens hostage. 
 
The siege ended on Saturday morning with six gunmen killed, 13 hostages freed, one suspected terrorist taken alive and several casualties. 
 
 
What happened? 
 
Gunmen burst into a restaurant in the diplomatic quarter of the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka around 9:20pm on Friday night. 
 
They set off explosives, shouting &quot;Allahu Akbar&quot; (God is Greater). 
 
During the ensuing exhange of fire with the police, the gunmen took up to 40 hostages, including foreigners and two police officers died. 
 
Following a 10-hour stand-off, commandos stormed the restaurant early Saturday morning, freeing several hostages. 
 
 
Where did it happen? 
 
The Holey Artisan Bakery restaurant is a western-style cafe situated on Road 79 in Dhaka&#39;s affluent Gulshan quarter. 
 
The diplomatic zone is home to expatriate workers and foreign missions, as well as restaurants, upmarket malls and members&#39; clubs. 
 
The incident took place near the city&#39;s Nordic Club and the Qatar embassy. 
 
 
Who is behind the attack? 
 
About four hours after the attack, the Islamic State terror group claimed responsibility, via an IS-affiliated news agency, Amaq. 
 
It later issued a number of photographs of what it said were scenes from inside the cafe showing what appeared to be several bodies lying in pools of blood. 
 
The news agency claimed that more than 20 people of different nationalities were killed. 
 
 
Who are the hostages? 
 
Little is known about the hostages, however, Italy&#39;s ambassador to Bangladesh Mario Palma told Italian state television that seven Italians are among the captives. 
 
Sri Lanka said two of its nationals were among the hostages, but had been freed. 
 
Tokyo said one Japanese was among those rescued, Jiji Press reported. 
 
 
Is this kind of attack common? 
 
The attack follows a series of murders of foreigners, religious minorities and secular activists in Bangladesh, blamed on or claimed by Islamist militants. For instance, Cesare Tavella, an Italian aid worker was shot dead in Gulshan last September, in an attack claimed by Islamic State. 
 
And in 2012 a Saudi Arabian diplomat was shot dead in the diplomatic zone. 
 
However, Friday&#39;s attack appears to have been on a much bigger scale and the first time that people were held hostage. 
 
The government and police deny that Islamic State is active in Bangladesh and blame homegrown militants for the killings.

WION can confirm after speaking with Dr. Miraj at the United Hospital in Dhaka, 300 metres from the hostage crisis, that 30 security personnel are being treated after sustaining wounds from grenade shrapnel, as well as bullets.&nbsp;

So far one employee has managed to escape and there are reports that two hostages have been released, for unknown reasons.&nbsp;
