In a gesture to congratulate Britain's royal couple Meghan and Harry for their new born baby, Mumbai Dabbawalas to send presents for baby Sussex.

<p>Master Archie, the son of <a href="https://www.wionews.com/entertainment/prince-harry-gets-invictus-games-romper-suit-for-baby-archie-217372">Britain's Prince Harry</a> and his wife Meghan Markle, will receive special gifts from Mumbai's famed Dabbawalas - silver waist and anklet bands.</p>

<p>"According to the Maharashtrian tradition, a grandfather gifts a waistband (kamarpatta) and anklet bands on the birth of a boy and we'll be following the same tradition and gifting the same to baby Archie," said Mumbai Dabbawalas Association spokesperson Subhash Talekar.</p>

<p>On Friday, a group of Dabbawalas were seen scouring some of the reputed jewellers in Mumbai for shopping the best-design items for Master Archie to make it a memorable gift.</p>

<p>"We would have loved to present these auspicious items in gold, but we are constrained by resources. It is not the value of the gift but the thought that is valued. And this will be adorned by the blessings of all the Dabbawalas," Talekar added.</p>

<p>The bonhomie between Britain's royal family and the iconic dabbawalas dates back to 2003 when Prince Charles had visited them in Mumbai. Prince Charles was impressed by the work and services rendered by the ultra-efficient army of 5,000-odd dabbawalas, who meticulously ferry tiffin lunch boxes to around 200,000 hungry Mumbai office-goers.</p>

<p>Later in 2005, Prince Charles had sent an all-expense paid invitation the dabbawalas for his wedding to Camilla Parker. Accepting the invitation, two senior dabbawalas had attended the wedding in London.</p>

<p>They had also sent traditional Maharashtrian clothing as a gift for Prince Harry and Meghan Markel on their wedding.</p>

<p>On May 29, 2018, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands also came a calling on the dabbawalas and witnessed them at the peak of their duties around noon, at the suburban Andheri station.</p>

"According to the Maharashtrian tradition, a grandfather gifts a waistband (kamarpatta) and anklet bands on the birth of a boy and we'll be following the same tradition and gifting the same to baby Archie," said Mumbai Dabbawalas Association spokesperson Subhash Talekar. On Friday, a group of Dabbawalas were seen scouring some of the reputed jewellers in Mumbai for shopping the best-design items for Master Archie to make it a memorable gift. "We would have loved to present these auspicious items in gold, but we are constrained by resources. It is not the value of the gift but the thought that is valued. And this will be adorned by the blessings of all the Dabbawalas," Talekar added. The bonhomie between Britain's royal family and the iconic dabbawalas dates back to 2003 when Prince Charles had visited them in Mumbai. Prince Charles was impressed by the work and services rendered by the ultra-efficient army of 5,000-odd dabbawalas, who meticulously ferry tiffin lunch boxes to around 200,000 hungry Mumbai office-goers. Later in 2005, Prince Charles had sent an all-expense paid invitation the dabbawalas for his wedding to Camilla Parker. Accepting the invitation, two senior dabbawalas had attended the wedding in London. They had also sent traditional Maharashtrian clothing as a gift for Prince Harry and Meghan Markel on their wedding. On May 29, 2018, Queen Maxima of The Netherlands also came a calling on the dabbawalas and witnessed them at the peak of their duties around noon, at the suburban Andheri station.

<p>"He's just been the dream so it's been a special couple of days," she said.</p>

<p>The baby was born in the early hours of Monday morning, weighing 7 lb 3oz (3.26 kg), but few other details have been given about the birth.</p>

<p>"It's great, parenting is amazing," Harry said. "It's only been two-and-a-half days, three days, but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy, to be able to spend some precious time with him as he slowly starts to grow up."</p>

<p>The couple said they were about to visit 93-year-old Elizabeth, the world's longest-reigning monarch, at the castle to allow her to meet her eighth great-grandchild.</p>

<p>Unlike her sister-in-law Kate Middleton and mother-in-law, late Princess Diana, Meghan opted for a home birth. Sources close to the family state that Prince Harry was with her throughout the birthing process. Prince Harry later addressed the media and stated that they had not yet decided on a name and that both mother and baby were doing well.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension but we`re both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to all the lovely support from everybody out there," a smiling Harry told reporters in Windsor, west of London where the couple live.&nbsp;<br />

"It was amazing, absolutely incredible. As I say, I am so incredibly proud of my wife and, as every father and parent would ever say your baby is absolutely amazing, this little baby is absolutely to die for," Harry added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The baby could be entitled to hold joint British and American citizenship according to nationality rules.&nbsp;However, the child will not automatically be a prince or a princess and any such title would have to be bestowed by the queen by issuing what is known as a letter patent.<br />

Albert, Philip, Arthur and James are the favourite names for the child, according to bookmakers.<br />
