Between 2023 and 2026, authorities tested 70,652 samples of fruits and vegetables as part of residue monitoring. <p>The possibility of "drug-induced poisoning cannot be denied", the zoo admitted in a statement Monday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We're currently investigating the cause of their deaths and observing the conditions of surviving individuals," they said, adding that a pathological examination of the corpses was underway.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We offer our deepest apologies,"&nbsp;the statement said.</p>

<p>The zoo officials, however, maintain that the drugs were used in proper doses, as intended in the manual. Moreover, they had been administered on previous occasions without any incident.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A recent study has indicated that sperm count in men worldwide is declining due to increasing exposure to pesticides that are used in homes, gardens and sprayed on foods.</p>

<p>The study, published Wednesday (Nov 15) in the journal Environmental Health Perspectives, examined 25 studies around the world on the two chemicals and included 20 studies in the meta-analysis.</p>

<p>“Over the course of 50 years, sperm concentration has fallen about 50 per cent around the world,” said senior study author Melissa Perry, dean of the College of Public Health at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.</p>

<p>She pointed out that the fall was linked to two common insecticides used around the world: Organophosphates and N-methyl carbamates.</p>

<p>Organophosphates are the main components of nerve gas, herbicides, pesticides and insecticides and are also used to create plastics and solvents.</p>

<p>''Horticulture is the backbone of the economy of Jammu and Kashmir, It is around 15 thousand crore rupees (Rs 150 billion), and we believe there is potential to increase it to four times. It won't happen without technology. Drone technology is one aspect,&nbsp;we are also bringing Artificial Intelligence.&nbsp;We are collecting data on how it's spraying the pesticides, at what height, and whether the mist it is spraying is sufficient for the requirement of the plant.
