<p>"During any ongoing rescue or security operation, identity and number of victims or other important information shall not be revealed unless the same is warranted by the rescue or security agency incharge of the operation," the body said in its order.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The regulatory body claimed that despite repeated directives satellite TV channels are "unable to comply with provisions of the Electronic Media Code of Conduct-2015 in letter and spirit."&nbsp;The regulatory body further justified the move by&nbsp;saying that news channels go for speedy transmission of terrorist attacks by&nbsp;ignoring basic journalistic norms and ethics in order to "take lead" and "credit" for breaking the news first.</p>

<p>The suspension as per ANI&nbsp;was issued hours after Khan&nbsp;pledged&nbsp;to bring legal action against Islamabad's inspector general, deputy inspector general, and a&nbsp;female magistrate for "torturing" his close aide Shahbaz Gill.</p>

<p>Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has imposed a ban on a talk show hosted by journalist Sami Ibrahim for airing the controversial statements of Imran Khan.</p>

<p>''The statements that Khan gave at the show gravely threatened the national security, independence, sovereignty, integrity, and ideology of the country and it is a clear violation of Article 19 of the constitution, PEMRA Ordinance, Electronic Media Code of Conduct (2015),'' according to a notice by PEMRA.</p>

<p>Article 19 states of the Pakistani constitution states that “very citizen shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression, and there shall be freedom of the press, subject to any reasonable restrictions imposed by law in the interest of the glory of Islam or the integrity, security or defense of Pakistan or any part, therefore, friendly relations with foreign States, public order, decency or morality, or in relation to contempt of court, or incitement to an offense.”</p>

<p>The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will on Monday hear a plea seeking a ban on airing speeches of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif on television channels.</p>

<p>The plea was filed by a citizen, Amir Aziz, who has made the Sharif brothers, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) Chairman and others, respondents.</p>

<p>In the petition, Aziz said that the convicted former premier during his recent speeches, especially the one delivered via video link during the all parties conference on September 20, had maligned the state institutions and a "convict`s speech cannot be allowed to be broadcast on media".</p>

<p>The decision came at a time when the former Prime Minister, who left for London late last year after securing bail for medical treatmen, has been targeting the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government as well as many state institutions, including the judiciary and the military.</p>
