While she has been awarded compensation, Andrade feels that Esposito got away with a lenient punishment. He has been ordered to undergo counselling and serve two years of probation. He was also ordered to pay US$780,000 in emotional distress damages as well as US$2 million in punitive damages — totalling $2.8 million.

“It’s not enough for the whole situation I’ve been through these three years. It’s not enough,” Andrade told the New York Post. “I was angry because the damage that he caused me is irreversible.”

Andrade is originally from Colombia and came to New York in 2021 to work as an au pair for Esposito and his wife Danielle's four children. She was hired by the placement firm Cultural Care Au Pair.

However, she was living at Danielle’s parents' home in Tottenville on Staten Island as the couple’s mansion was being renovated.&nbsp;

Andrade began to grow suspicious of Esposito after she caught him in her room frequently, as per the lawsuit. She saw him messing with the ceiling smoke detector which “was constantly being repositioned.”

The lawsuit further states that after about three weeks of joining, she checked the smoke detector and found a tiny camera hidden inside. She checked it and found that the memory card was filled with “hundreds of recordings". Several of them had her “nude and/or dressing/undressing,” the lawsuit said.

Esposito reached her room minutes later and "seemed very nervous" and "very worried when he arrived at the house,” Andrade said.

He started banging on her door but she pretended to be asleep in hopes that he would go away. However, she soon grew afraid and jumped from the first-floor window. She injured her knees and hid in a bush on the street for the night.&nbsp;

The next day, she went to the police and gave them the footage, following which Esposito was arrested.&nbsp;

She is compensated $2,000 for 12 to 15 hours of work. She said that she travels the world on private aircraft and yachts, drives Porsches and Teslas for work, and attends toddler birthday parties where iPads are given out as party favours.

"I've had full-blown interviews where [parents] are like, 'We're looking for someone to raise our kids,'" she said.&nbsp;

"They tell me they had kids to pass on their trust funds, [and that] 'I'll hang out with them after boarding school when they can drink," she added.

However, she said that working with billionaires has its own set of difficulties, particularly for a Black woman nannying white children. She stated that she must manage cultural situations with sensitivity or risk losing her job.

"I'll be in, like, Switzerland, and they're telling me they can't pay me for three weeks because they don't have cash,"&nbsp;Richards said&nbsp;

"That's also how they communicate when they don't like something you did. They'll stop paying you," she continued.

It's difficult for Richards to maintain her mental health while dealing with unpredictable client mood changes.

"I've had families go through an immense amount of grief in the public eye. I'm watching their divorces or deaths within the family.&nbsp;Sometimes I'm literally a shoulder to cry on. A second later, they'll turn on me," she added.

In a case that drew national headlines, Yoselyn Ortega, 56, was found guilty by a jury in April of murdering both Lucia Krim, 6, nicknamed Lulu, and her 2-year-old brother, Leo, and leaving their bloody bodies in a bathtub in their luxury Manhattan apartment in October 2012.

Judge Gregory Carro on Monday called the case "pure evil" before issuing the sentence, the stiffest available.

Before hearing the sentence, Ortega addressed the court and apologized. She spoke in Spanish through a translator.

"I'm very sorry for everything that happened ... I ask for a great deal of forgiveness," she said in a shaky voice.

She said she was asking forgiveness from God and the children's parents, adding she had not been feeling well on the day of the murders.

The two-month trial at state Supreme Court in Manhattan featured testimony by the children's mother, Marina Krim.

Krim, 42, had for months sat through a trial that forced him again and again to relive that day in October 2012, when he turned on his phone after a flight to find a number of missed calls and voice mails, which filled him with the kind of dread fathers sometimes feel when they know something must be wrong with their children.

She recalled the shock of returning to the family's Upper West Side apartment to find her children slain and their nanny standing over them stabbing her own neck with a kitchen knife. Krim had come home with the children's 3-year-old sister, Nessie, after Ortega failed to show up with the children at Lulu's dance lesson.

On Monday, Krim asked the judge, Gregory Carro, to give Ortega, 55, a life sentence so that she "can never leave prison alive."

"I just wanted to wake up from this nightmare that I knew wasn't a nightmare. It was real," Krim told jurors. "It's like a total horror movie."

The motive, prosecutors said, was Ortega's overwhelming financial problems after bringing her 17-year-old son from the Dominican Republic and her resentment toward Marina Krim, married to then-CNBC executive Kevin Krim, for being the mother "she could never be."

In 2012, in the aftermath of the killings, the Krims founded the Lulu & Leo Fund, which supports creativity in schools. Their family now includes two more children: Felix, born in October 2013, and Linus, born in January 2016.

"Mary Poppins," the movie based on the popular children`s books by author P.L. Travers, followed a magical flying British nanny as she improved the lives of the unhappy Banks family with the aid of chirpy Cockney chimneysweep Bert, played by Dick Van Dyke. The new film will be set in Depression-era London, the setting of Travers` stories, and will see Mary Poppins return to the now grownup Jane Banks, Michael Banks and his three children after they suffer a personal loss, Disney said. "Through her unique magical skills, and with the aid of her friend Jack, she helps the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives," the studio said.
