But it was the 256-run fourth-wicket partnership between Yuvraj (150) and Dhoni (134) that handed India an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

The day belonged to the 35-year-old Yuvraj, who made his highest ever ODI score, and former captain Dhoni as they delighted a sell-out crowd at Cuttack&#39;s Barabati Stadium.

The left-handed Yuvraj, who is making a comeback in the ODI side after a gap of three years, counter attacked after India were in early trouble at 25 for three.&nbsp;

Dhoni had a relatively sedate start, seeing out two maidens before boosting his confidence with a couple of boundaries.

The wicketkeeper-batsman, who survived a dropped catch on 43, made the most of the reprieve to post his 10th ODI hundred as he hit 10 fours and 6 sixes.

Yuvraj was caught behind off Woakes while Dhoni fell to Liam Plunkett but their departure was scant consolation to the England bowlers who were all carted around the park.

In England&#39;s innings, Jason Roy (82) and Joe Root (54) put on 100 runs for the second wicket to try and set up the chase but the Indian spinners struck back to dent the opposition&#39;s hopes.

It was then that Morgan rose to the occasion with an exemplary showing as he put on 93 runs for the sixth wicket with Moeen Ali (55) to keep the chase alive.

But the pressure of keeping pace with the ever-increasing run rate finally got to the visiting side as Plunkett remained unbeaten on 27.

The third and final ODI is scheduled in Kolkata on Sunday ahead of the three-match Twenty20 series.

Yuvraj Singh later praised Indian skipper Virat Kohli for bestowing faith in him before expressing his happiness in regaining form at the international level. &quot;I scored a century today, I am happy I scored today,&quot; the southpaw told reporters after the match.

Kohli said the series win would was a shot in the arm for his team ahead of the Champions Trophy, which is to be held in England in June, while his English counterpart cut a forlorn figure.

Having relinquished limited overs captaincy after leading India to two World Cup triumphs during an eventful tenure that spanned nearly a decade, Dhoni captained the Men in Blue for one last time in a warm-up game against England.

The perfect finish may have eluded him, as his team lost by three wickets, but Dhoni, in a video chat with Yuvraj Singh, assured that he would continue to hit those trademark sixes, if they are to be hit.

&quot;If they bowl in my areas, the right areas and the situation permits I would look to hit sixes,&quot; Dhoni said in the video chat with teammate Yuvraj.&nbsp;Dhoni&#39;s stint at the helm had more ups than downs, and he called it amazing.

A Bollywood biopic of Mahendra Singh Dhoni is to bring a tragic episode in the Indian cricket hero&#39;s life to movie screens - the death of his first love.&nbsp;&#39;MS Dhoni: The Untold Story&#39;, due for release on September 30, charts the rise of India&#39;s limited-overs captain from boy to train ticket collector to World Cup glory.&nbsp;

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays Dhoni, told AFP in a video interview that filming scenes that dealt with the death of the cricketer&#39;s former girlfriend had been heart-rending.&nbsp;&quot;It was very difficult because, after we did the preparation, in my head I was him and everything that was happening was actually affecting me,&quot; said the 30-year-old.

In 2002, Dhoni was in his early 20s and trying to break into India&#39;s national team when his girlfriend, Priyanka Jha, was killed in a road accident, according to Indian media reports.&nbsp;A music video released by producers as a teaser shows Dhoni&#39;s character romancing his sweetheart, played in the movie by Disha Patani, just before her death.

Rajput said that it was a particularly moving scene to film.&nbsp;&quot;It was just before I lose her... I was emotional,&quot; explained Rajput.

The film, directed by Neeraj Pandey, includes scenes from Dhoni&#39;s childhood when football was his passion as well as his years as a young ticket collector. It culminates with his heroics at the 2011 final. &nbsp;Rajput, who describes himself as an &quot;ardent&quot; cricket fan, said his preparations for playing an icon had been &quot;exhaustive&quot;.

&quot;People already know the way he talks, walks, plays his cricket so I realised very early that it was a possibility that I could act well in the film but at the same time not be very convincing,&quot; said Rajput.&nbsp;The Hindi actor watched &quot;hours and hours&quot; of videos of Dhoni and met the star several times to study his mannerisms.
