The maternity home is run by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The woman, Sahidun, was married to Khusruddin Ansari for 11 months, and they lived in Bhandup. She went to the hospital on April 29 after having labour pains.

As per information, the municipal corporation has&nbsp;established a committee to investigate the deaths of the woman and her newborn baby.

According to Sahidun's brother-in-law, Sharukh Ansari, the original plan was for a natural delivery. However, because the baby's heartbeat was low, the medical team opted for a cesarean section.

When discussing her daughter-in-law's health, the mother-in-law mentioned that she was in perfect health, and all her medical reports were normal. She also mentioned that her daughter-in-law was admitted at 7 am on Monday and remained in the hospital until 8 pm, with the doctors repeatedly assuring that the delivery would proceed naturally.

She added, “Then, when I went to meet her, I saw that she was covered in blood. They had made an incision and then came to get a signature saying she had suffered a fit and a C-section was needed."

"That's when the power went out and they did not send us to another hospital even after that. They took us to the operation theatre and did the delivery with the help of a phone torch. The child died and, when we cried, the doctor said the mother would survive. They referred us to Sion Hospital, but she had died by then. There was no oxygen available either," the mother-in-law was quoted as saying by&nbsp;NDTV.

The engineer had visited the hospital to check on the generator the previous day also," the doctor said as quoted by&nbsp;Hindustan Times.

"We rushed back to the hospital, and the baby is now under treatment," Das added. After the incident, a group from Silchar's Malinibil area gathered in front of the hospital and staged a protest. A resident of Silchar, Sujit Das Choudhary, said the hospital authorities treated the newborn baby like garbage by keeping him in a packet for over eight hours without examining if he was alive. A girl died due to dengue on 14 September, while her treatment was underway at Fortis hospital.&nbsp;

The deceased&#39;s parents said that they&nbsp;were not allowed to take the body of their daughter until they paid the outstanding bill of Rs 16 lakh, reports said.

The parents of the girl claimed that the hospital staff kept their daughter on ventilator for three days even after she had stopped responding to the treatment.&nbsp;

The deceased's parents said that they were not allowed to take the body of their daughter until they paid the outstanding bill of Rs 16 lakh, reports said. The parents of the girl claimed that the hospital staff kept their daughter on ventilator for three days even after she had stopped responding to the treatment. The hospital, on the other hand, said that there was nothing wrong on their part and that they followed all "standard medical protocols and clinical guidelines". The hospital added that there was a progressive fall in her platelet count and hemoconcentration. With consistent deteriorating of her health, the girl was put on on ventilator support within 48 hours.

The Delhi Police on Sunday sent notice to the administration of Max hospital in connection with medical negligence issue and sought detailed information in the regard.

The police have also asked about the duty of the doctors and the rest of the staff on the day of the incident.

The hospital administration has been asked to be present for an interrogation.

Earlier on Saturday, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Kumar Jain said if the Max hospital continued with the negligence, the state government would cancel their licence.

The family members of the newborn, who was allegedly declared dead along with his still-born twin by the hospital, <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/family-demands-strict-action-against-hospital-for-declaring-newborn-dead-25651">staged a sit-in protest outside the hospital yesterday demanding a strict action against them.</a>
