Theophilus London, a rapper from Trinidad and Tobago who has worked with Kanye West, Tame Impala and many more, was reported missing by his friends and family on Wednesday.

They said in a statement to Variety the last time someone spoke with him was in July 2022 in Los Angeles.

London's family members travelled to Los Angeles on Tuesday after trying to uncover his whereabouts for the last few weeks. They filed a missing persons report with the LAPD and are now seeking help from the public.

They ask that anyone with information about his whereabouts or well-being contact the LAPD or London's cousin, Mikhail Noel, on Instagram at @iamdjkellz. LAPD confirmed to Variety that a missing person report was filed Tuesday but had no other information to provide.

Since 2011, London has released three studio albums and worked with artists like West, Travis Scott, Tame Impala, Ellie Goulding, Big Boi and more.

He was Grammy-nominated for best rap song and rap performance for West's 2015 single 'All Day', which he featured on with Paul McCartney and Allan Kingdom. His most recent album, 'Bebey', released in January 2020.

The Specials found success on the UK charts, notching seven consecutive top 10 singles, including 'Ghost Town'&nbsp;and 'Too Much Too Young'.

Hall died after a brief illness, 'The Specials' said in a statement.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, following a brief illness, of Terry, our beautiful friend, brother and one of the most brilliant singers, songwriters and lyricists this country has ever produced," they wrote on Twitter.&nbsp;"His music and his performances encapsulated the very essence of life… the joy, the pain, the humour, the fight for justice, but mostly the love."

No cause of death was given, and the band asked for respect for Hall's family.

Born in Coventry in 1959, Hall spoke of being abducted by a paedophile ring at the age of 12 and subsequently struggling with depression and addiction.&nbsp;Hall joined The Specials, then called the Automatics, in 1977.

Over the course of his career, Hall collaborated with a motley crew of other musicians, including Bananarama, the Gorillaz, Dub Pistols and Lily Allen.
