<p>Right from the shooting schedules to guest coordination--everything was managed by Preeti. And for that, I paid her Rs 2 lakh a month. Soon, I hired her sister Neeti as well and as the show became popular and the channel benefitted from it, I raised their salaries, he said.</p>

<p>During the show, the Simoes sisters were close to me and they knew everything about my personal and professional life.</p>

<p>" In 2013, a girl named Anushree was hired as a talent manager for my show but after Simoes sisters insisted I fired her in 2016. Preeti and Neeti told me that Anushree charges money from people for coming on the show but once I met her at some programme and she instead revealed that Simoes sisters were actually doing it. She told me that they charge money from the people who want to sit in the audience and the rates vary depending on which row. People who sit in the front row are charged more."</p>

<p>Kapil in his complaint mentioned, "Preeti and Neeti were responsible for handling the celebrity guests and letting me know every detail beforehand but due to their lack of coordination and not informing me on time, several celebs were left miffed with me. They also tried to create misunderstanding about me and my other fellow actors."</p>

<p>He alleged, " Due to Preeti and Neeti's miscommunication, I suffered a lot as many celebs were upset with me and this hampered my public image. And surprisingly, all of this was told to me by Anushree. I realised that people I trusted the most were trying to pull me down and tarnish my image and my teammates were scared to tell me fearing a job loss."</p>

<p>"In 2016, I warned them to improve their work. However, soon after that, we had an argument and the Simoes sisters quit the job. But they came back to me after three days saying let bygones be bygones and we must work together. Again I found out that they are trying to hamper my work and after a heated exchange, they left the show in March 2017."</p>

<p>"Soon after their exit, a leading entertainment portal started publishing negative and false stories about me which would hamper my image in the industry. In September 2107, one of my close friends Gurjot met Preeti in a cafe where they talked about me and my work. Gurjot told me that in order to take revenge from me, Preeti has leaked the info to the entertainment portal. When my friend asked her not to do such things, she demanded Rs 25 lakh for it. The portal continued to carry negative stories about me and it affected my work."</p>

<p>"In February 2018, I confronted Preeti at her house and requested her to end all of this. She replied saying, "You are nothing without me in the industry and I will not leave you. I will swipe you away from the industry and if you want to end all of this then pay me Rs 25 lakh. I left her house after that."</p>

After that, I took the number of the journalist from Neeti, who Whatsapped me. I called the guy and soon it became heated. I contacted my lawyer Tanveer Nizam and decided to file a police complaint. Which is why <em>Firangi </em>is an ambitious film for the stand-up comic-turned-actor. It&#39;s a gamble that Sharma plays with but the result is not necessarily a good one.&nbsp;<br />

In love with Sragi (Ishita Dutta ), Sharma&#39;s character Manga wants to win her and her family over and get married. Sharma&#39;s boss, British Officer Daniel though wants the village to be evacuated as he wants to set&nbsp;up a liquor factory there in partnership with the local king Inderjeet (Kumud Mishra) While the King and Daniel want to use Manga as their pawn against the villagers, Manga wants to be other side and win his love.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now, on paper, the story may have looked good but implementing on the big screen is a whole new ball game. The plot is oversimplified, the climax has a hilarious nationalism angle to it and one can&#39;t decide as to which genre the film falls into. The narrative keeps oscillating between comedy and drama in 160 minutes of its runtime.&nbsp;<br />

Sharma, who rose to superstardom on television because of his comedy show, tries hard to step out of his comfort zone. Which in itself is a blunder. He is still new to films and ideally should be doing what he does best. But what Firangi gives us is a straight face Kapil Sharma who tries hard to romance a much younger looking Ishita Dutta. Their scenes together lack any chemistry and they look rather unconvincing as a couple. In fact, Dutta barely has anything to do in the film and is almost missing in the greater part of second half. Sharma also ropes in Anjjan&nbsp;Srivastav and Rajesh Sharma- two versatile actors- but they too are let down due to poor writing. The only person who shines in this sordid film is Kumud Mishra as the corrupt King but he alone can&#39;t make the film good.&nbsp;<br />

<em>Firangi </em>ultimately suffers because of poor writing and poor editing. It could have been easily half an hour shorter and the screenplay could have been dealt a bit maturely. It is also sad that the writers do not use Sharma&#39;s quick wit to their advantage and one can see the comedian spark only in few scenes.&nbsp;<br />

Have Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover "rekindled" their friendship? The word is that there may be a new show starring the famous comedy duo, media reports said. The rift between Grover and Sharma stated during the filming of the famous Kapil Sharma Show when Grover called it quits after Kapil in an alleged inebriated state fought with him during a flight from Melbourne. Kapil reportedly assaulted and abused Sunil onboard. “Sunil and I haven’t met in a long time, but we chat over messages. He is currently in Canada. As soon as he returns, we will meet up and discuss the possibility of a new show. Hopefully, we should be back together.” Kapil told sources in an interview recently. Meanwhile, Sony Entertainment Television stopped airing fresh episodes of Kapil's show after he went on a break earlier this year. There's no statement about when Kapil's show will be back on TV. <p>The Hindustan Times reported Wednesday that Kapil Sharma attacked Sunil Grover because his co-stars and crew had begun eating before him.</p>

<p>Sharma and his crew were on an Air India Melbourne-Delhi-Mumbai flight at the time. This was on Friday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The HT report said Sharma was downing a bottle of scotch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Food was served in the meantime and Sharma&#39;s co-stars and crew -- of The Kapil Sharma Show -- began to eat.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This, said the report which was based on the testimony of an unnamed witness, angered Sharma who was still finishing his drink.&nbsp;</p>

<p>All this while, the report said, Sharma kept shouting that his co-stars and crew were nothing without him. And that all of them owed him their careers, which he could snuff out any time he wished.&nbsp;</p>

<p>To Grover -- who had left the show some time ago to start up his own -- he said: Finally you had to come back to me.&nbsp;</p>

<p>By this time, the report says, the plane&#39;s other passengers had become startled.&nbsp;</p>

<p>They asked the cabin crew whether something could be done.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The cabin crew told Sharma that they would have to call security on landing if he did not calm down.&nbsp;</p>
