Finch's rough patch has extended to the T20s as he was out for zero and eight in the two T20Is which Australia won to claim their maiden series win in the shortest format in India.

"He's such a good player, such a good person, captain of the team, we know he'll come good," Langer was quoted as saying by cricket.Com.Au.

"We just got to keep giving him plenty of care and support. We know he'll come good."

Finch has not scored a fifty in his last 19 innings for Australia in limited overs cricket.

However, Langer threw his weight behind Finch.

"There's no more destructive player in the world, we talk about 'Maxi' (Glenn Maxwell), Marcus Stoinis, a number of our players who can be so destructive but when he's going, he is as destructive as a player as there is in white-ball cricket," Langer said.

"We know he'll come good and we'll be patient with him."

Langer was impressed with the way Finch has conducted himself as a captain during this phase.

"My experience of every captain, the most important thing is they're playing really good cricket. He's got to keep his attention on that. He's got lots of support around him. Like I say, he's such a good person, he's got to be Aaron Finch, be himself. He's doing that.

"He's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We'll just keep encouraging him to be himself. His runs will come, keep encouraging him to be himself and

While Finch endured a lean patch, teammate Maxwell has been on fire, blasting a 55-ball match-winning 113 in the second T20I. He had also scored a 56 in Vizag.

Given his form, Maxwell said a promotion in the batting order in the ODIs might help his game and also the team. The all-rounder was demoted to no 7 following his lean patch.

Asked if a potential move up the order for Maxwell is on the cards, Langer said: "We'll wait and see. We'll do what's best for the team I reckon. We'll see how we go."

Langer said if Maxwell can be more consistent his standing in the game will go to another level.

"He'll be the first to say it, that's what we've been crying out for some time from him. It just goes to show what he can do. When he does things like that, he elevates himself to a world-class performer," Langer said.

"I would like to have them both in my team. Sachin was an incredible cricketer. I used to watch him and it was like he was meditating. He was so calm and that's why his record is peerless," Langer said after Australia's six-wicket loss in the second ODI here.&nbsp;

"Virat is doing the same thing. He is so calm and so competitive, and technically his balance is unbelievable. For him to play 360-degree shots in all formats of the game, his balance is unbelievable."&nbsp;

Langer said it is a blessing in disguise for the young Australian cricketers to play against class players like Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.&nbsp;

"He (Kohli) is a great competitor and his concentration is extraordinary and for someone to make so many runs as he has it is incredible like all the great players," he said.&nbsp;

"The guys are working very hard and they are going okay. The first innings in Melbourne and Sydney, honestly, sucked the life out of us because when you are in the field for two days, with only one spin bowler, that takes energy out of the group," he said ahead of ODI series starting Saturday here.&nbsp;

"We have the best spinner and three outstanding pace bowlers, against the outstanding Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli. So it takes some mental and physical energy out.&nbsp;

"There are new players and new staff for these three games, so that brings new energy to the group...," he added.&nbsp;

Australia's fast bowlers drew all-round criticism for failing to be as effective as India's pace battery but Langer backed them. The home team will be missing Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins in the ODI series, who have been rested to manage workloads.&nbsp;

"...They copped some pretty strong criticism throughout the series. But on two very flat wickets they kept running in hard and having a go and in this instance they were beaten by some a brilliant Indian side. We were beaten by a better side," he conceded.&nbsp;

Langer said the challenge is ever present for his side despite a change in format as the Indian ODI team is just as strong as the Test team. Both sides get down to their respective World Cup preparations with the upcoming series.&nbsp;

"After losing in 2001, in 2004 when we finally beat India in India at Nagpur, without doubt that was the Everest moment of my cricket career. So I am sure for most of the Indian players, especially Virat Kohli, it feels the same but when you are at the top, things are on the way down," he warned the visitors.&nbsp;

"They will be very buoyed and excited but we plan to fight for every thing. They have a good one-day team and we are up against it. Let's hope we are better than we were in the Test series," Langer said.

"It's the exciting thing, when you lose a series to India, its disappointing but it helps you get better and it's the same where we are at the moment.&nbsp;

Australia have made an addition to their squad with batsman Ashton Turner coming in for Mitchell Marsh who is suffering from gastroenteritis and is not available for the first ODI.&nbsp;

Australia have recalled off-spinner Nathan Lyon to their ODI squad, and Langer said that this is a move keeping the World Cup in mind, but didn't commit if the hosts would play two spinners in the first match of the series itself.&nbsp;

"Lyon's record in white ball cricket is very good and he is the best spinner in the world. So it would be a waste of opportunity if we don't play him in white ball cricket particularly with the World Cup coming up.&nbsp;

"He is also a gun fieldsman. He is nice and fit, and a gun fielder. I cannot wait to see how he goes and he is also excited about it," he said.&nbsp; 
In addition, he spoke about Australia's World Cup preparations, and how they are close to finding the group of players in a bid to retain their 2015 title this summer.&nbsp;

"No one ever feels locked in. We have a clear plan how we will play our one-day cricket between now and the World Cup.&nbsp;

Bancroft ultimately decided to pursue his cricket career and is due to make his comeback in the Big Bash Twenty20 League for the Perth Scorchers on December 30.

"While you do not look that different, on the inside you are a vastly different man to the bloke who made that mistake in South Africa," he added in the letter.

"You know you cannot say sorry enough, but actually it is time you allow your cricket to be about what you have learnt and use this opportunity to make a great impact."

Appointed coach of Australia's test, one-day and T20 teams for the next four years, Langer's first on-field assignment will be on tour against England next month for an ODI series.

One of his jobs will be to participate in a players' review aimed at improving team culture and conduct, which former players and media pundits have long criticised as boorish and out of step with public expectations.

"How people view us, that's really none of our business.

"We know in this world everyone's got an opinion. If we go about our behaviours on and off the field really well, those outcomes will look after themselves."

Along with Smith and Warner, young opening batsman Cameron Bancroft was banned for nine months, having been caught on camera with a piece of sandpaper while out in the field during the third test in Cape Town.

Langer said he was stunned that "cricket tragics" Smith and Bancroft had been involved in the ball-tampering, but they and Warner would all be welcomed back into the side if they met "standards" once their bans were served.

A father to four daughters, he also described himself as a "hippy", as well as a mentor, to the amusement of reporters. He is also a man who meditates and spends at least one month a year growing a beard and walking around in bare feet during his downtime.

Rebuilding trust in Australia's dressing room, as well as the cricket world, will be crucial, Langer said.

"We’ll have to work on that," he said. "I would say, without being in it (at South Africa), camaraderie wasn’t as right as it needed to be.

"I've said for years if you’ve got that camaraderie, then it’s like that glue that keeps everything together, particularly when you’re under pressure," he said.

Cambridge Analytica(CA), the firm at the centre of a worldwide data breach of Facebook users, announced today that it was filing for bankruptcy and closing down.

Cricket Australia said today former Australian Test opener Justin Langer, 47, will takeover as head coach of the national team.

Langer's coaching job comes after Darren Lehmann stepped down as coach of the Australian team after the ball-tampering row in South Africa which led Steve Smith and David Warner to be banned by Cricket Australia. Cameron Bancroft was also banned for his part in the incident.
