He then reportedly told the police: "Initially did not know that there were currency notes in it. As it was packed, I thought it might be some books that had been thrown. But when I came home and opened it, I found 23 bundles of US dollars but there was a stench of some chemical and I felt sick."

<h2>What did Saleman do with money?</h2>

The report claims that Saleman hid the money at his home. On November 5, he reached out to an activist who informed the police about Saleman's discovery.&nbsp;

"We met the police commissioner who too was surprised to see such a large bundles of currency notes. He immediately called the Hebbal police inspector who took up the issue," the national executive member of Swaraj India, R Kaleem Ullah, was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.&nbsp;

According to R Kareeem Ullah, the package Saleman found also featured a note on a United Nations letterhead.&nbsp;

The letter read, "The economic and finance committee puts in place a special fund which was voted by members of the security council to assist UN peacekeeping forces in south Sudan. Due to the skeletal banking operations and the hijacking of such funds by unauthorized persons such as terrorists and dictators in these regions the United Nations authorized the finance committee of the UN to place a visible laser stamp on the notes to act as security in order to have the funds to reach its destination safely."

The note also claimed that the bills were anti-breeze and should not be exposed to air or atmospheric pressure.&nbsp;

"The chemical required to remove the last stamp is Fino-Bioxine Universal solution Code (BDZ8Y56)," the letter read.

The police have seized all 23 bundles and sent them to the Reserve Bank of India for further examination.&nbsp;

“Expanding this list will allow us to more swiftly remove people with no right to be here and sends a clear message that if you come here illegally, you cannot stay. We remain committed to delivering the measures in our Illegal Migration Act, which will play a part in the fight against illegal migration,” she added.

"Deeming these countries safe will mean that if an individual arrives illegally from either one, we will not admit their claim to the UK asylum system,” the Home Office stated.

In addition to these SUVs, the brand also offers its DB-11, DB-12, and Vantage models, whereas, rare variants such as Valkyrie and Valhalla are only available on special order.&nbsp;

In India, the latest model DB-12 starts at 4.59cr ($551K) ex-showroom. The DB12 has a claimed top speed of 202mph (325kmph), and a 0-60mph (0-96kmph) time of 3.5 seconds, all thanks to a 4.0 Twin-Turbo Mercedes AMG V8 engine expertly tuned by Aston Martin engineers.

This engine offers 680 horsepower/800NM torque and power is fed through an 8-speed automatic transmission and for the first time in an Aston Martin DB model, an Electronic Rear Differential, the company said.

However, those who are ready to buy it have to wait around nine months&nbsp;before they can get their hands on the wheel.

"All our cars are hand-built in Britain and this process alone takes six to nine months and we also have to factor in the customisations sought by the customer. Once the vehicle is ready, shipping it to the customer and getting it delivered would take around 45 days (for India)," Anand said.

Despite operating a showroom and service facility only in the country's national capital, the firm expects that its supercar-savvy customers spread across Indian metropolitan cities and Tier-2 cities would opt for the DB-12.

"There are a lot of enquiries from Tier-2 cities like Coimbatore and Pune. In terms of service, we have our team of 'flying technicians' who visit the customers spread across the country and offer service support to the fleet," Anand said.

According to reports,&nbsp;Aston Martin has trimmed its delivery forecasts for 2023 after production delays hit the DB12, owing to supplier issues and the integration of the car's new infotainment system. As a result of this, the firm expects to sell 6,700 models this year, as opposed to the previous estimate of 7,000.

Queried about how this production slowdown would affect the Indian market,&nbsp;Tushar Anand said that it would not impact the Indian market and that their Indian customers would get their chosen DB12. On the sustainable luxury front, the firm also hopes to roll out its maiden Electric Luxury sportscar between 2025 and 2023, he added.&nbsp;

The report indicates that 88 per cent of Indian businesses are preparing to increase their resources for technological developments in the second half of 2023, making technology investments the driving force behind this spending spree.

This technology-focused strategy is primarily driven by the need to increase productivity, satisfy the growing demand for digital products, and improve payment efficiency and speed.

Business travel and professional services on the rise

Interestingly, 72 per cent of Indian businesses foresee more travel, entertainment, and cost budgets, highlighting the critical role that business travel plays. In order to network, learn about the industry, and consider possible collaborations, firms are increasingly taking part in industry events. &nbsp;

To broaden their horizons, make contacts, and take advantage of fresh prospects, Indian businesses are also allocating larger resources for both local and international business travel.

68 per cent of Indian enterprises anticipate increasing their spending in business and professional services, underscoring the importance of these services. For the purpose of fully utilising technical breakthroughs, IT and technology consulting services account for 61 per cent of total investments. Even more, up to 59 per cent are looking for more accounting and financial guidance to deal with possible restructuring and other financial difficulties.

Additionally, 79 per cent of businesses seek to increase their marketing and advertising budgets to target international markets, promote new products and services, and pursue new marketing channels.

Apart from their anticipated expenditure, Indian businesses are also hopeful about their organisations' future performance in the upcoming year. Of them, 88 per cent are positive, which is higher than the global Trendex average of 77 per cent.

He stated, "It's noteworthy that a substantial 84 per cent of Indian businesses have taken steps to partially automate payments to their suppliers, with an impressive 39 per cent achieving full automation of their payment processes. As the business landscape becomes increasingly competitive, the need to adopt smarter and more efficient payment solutions becomes paramount."

92 per cent of Indian businesses said that enhancing payment security is their top priority, indicating a greater understanding of the significance of safe financial transactions. Additionally, during the previous year, 90 per cent of organisations acknowledged the growing importance of managing cash flow and working capital.

The Path Forward: Increased Automation

The poll also shows that payment automation is increasing, with 84 per cent of Indian businesses reporting at least partially automated supplier payments and 39 per cent reporting full automation. Companies that have embraced automation report 58 per cent faster and more accurate billing and 54 per cent fewer errors made by humans.

Future projections indicate that 86 per cent of Indian businesses want to start automation for the process of collecting payments from customers. 83 per cent want to increase the level of automation they now use for payments to suppliers while 34 per cent of those who have not yet automated their payments are actively looking for partners to help them streamline their payment procedures.

Quoting a study by BlackRock, the minister said that organisations with more diverse workforces performed better than those with less gender-balanced workforces. He also added that similar studies revealed how above-average profitability in organisations was linked to gender diversity.
