India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Thursday (February 23) yet again spoke of Pakistan's tacit support to terror groups at a time when the country faces multiple economic challenges and almost dismissed the idea of helping the western neighbour to come out of its economic mess. No country can come out of a difficult situation, Jaishankar insisted, "if it's basic industry is terrorism".&nbsp; 
 
"Terrorism is a fundamental issue in relationship with Pakistan... we must not be in denial of it," the Foreign Minister said at an event. The minister, who is known for making sharp comments about China and Pakistan on international platforms while&nbsp;reflecting the government's stand, dropped clear hints at not extending any help to Pakistan for helping it tide over the crises by saying that he will consider the local public sentiment while making any such big decision.

"...If I were to look at any big decision I am making, I will also look at what is the public sentiment. I would have a pulse what do my people feel about it. And I think you know the answer," Jaishankar was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. 
 
Underlining that India is a very "forbearing and patient country", he stressed that the nation "will do whatever it takes to protect its borders".

Pakistan is facing one of its worst economic crises. Earlier last year, cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan was ousted out of power amid accusations over poor handling of the economic crises. Despite his removal, the situation has hardly improved amid a political blame-game. Even as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has delayed its next tranche of $6.5 billion loan, China and Pakistan now come to the rescue of the country. Beijing has reportedly lent a $700 million loan to shore up the country's foreign reserves, which have hit a new low.

Nobody reaches a difficult situation suddenly without cause. It is for them to find out. Today, our relationship is not one where we can be relevant directly to that process." &nbsp;

On Pak’s economic crises, Jaishankar calls out neighbour’s ‘basic terrorism industry’ for its ills

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has claimed that a troika of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and her friend Farah Gogi made "billions" under the tenure of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

"It started in 2019, when Imran Khan gave a relief worth Pakistani rupees 320 million to Ahsan Jamil Gujjar - Farah`s husband - under an amnesty scheme," PML-N leader Atta Ullah Tarar said during a press conference.

The Express Tribune quoting Tarar reported that the former Prime Minister gave the relief due to his personal relations and friendship between Bushra and Farah.

Regarding this, he also played an audio tape -- purportedly a conversation between a business tycoon and his daughter, revealing how Farah 'demanded a gift'&nbsp;for the ex-first lady.

During the conversation, the woman said to her father that Farah Gogi allegedly demanded a precious diamond as a gift for the ex-first lady in return for "removing locks" on a project site and withdrawing a report against her father, The Express Tribune reported.

It was revealed during that discussion that Farah Gogi earlier had rejected a three-carat diamond sent by the daughter of a business tycoon as unworthy and unsuitable for the first lady, who she allegedly said routinely wore such things, and asked for a five-carat diamond.

The lady could be heard telling her father how Farah taunted her for sending "only a five-carat diamond ring". She also promised that the former premier would overturn measures against the projects of the business tycoon if a "more valuable gift was offered".

While property tycoon Malik Riaz on Sunday termed an audio clip attributed to him on social media as "fake". He also threatened to take legal action against those behind the 'conspiracy'.

"With latest technologies as Deep Fake, fabricating an audio conversation shouldn't be a surprise," Riaz said in his statement cited by The Express Tribune.

He said that the audio tape associated to him on social media is a product of Deep Fake. "I don't wish to [be] involve[d] in political campaigns of any party, but the most appalling fact is that my voice and reference is being misused to settle personal and political scores," he added.

He said that Farah Gogi left Pakistan as soon as she realised that she was about to get into trouble and Imran Khan helped her in fleeing the country.

Uzma Bukhari, another PML-N leader, said that her party knew about the misconduct of the PTI government, adding that now 'proofs'&nbsp;are being surfaced for everyone to see.

"The audio reveals just one case [of bribery] but it is not the entire story... it is only a trailer of a film," she added.

Uzma said that Imran Khan had kept two "front women" to hide his corruption. "There is a saying that there is a woman behind the success of every man but in Imran Khan's case there were two women," she added.&nbsp;

Shehbaz govt accuses Imran Khan, wife Bushra, her friend of making billions during PTI tenure

Pakistan’s ousted prime minister Imran Khan on Thursday warned of a civil war saying that the country would “break into pieces” if the establishment didn’t announce elections soon.

In an interview to local a television channel Bol News, Khan, who was ousted through a no-confidence motion in April, said, “We will see if they allow us to go towards elections through legal and constitutional means otherwise this country will go towards [a] civil war.”

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party chief further said there was "no question" of returning to the National Assembly as that would "mean accepting the conspiracy" that had removed his government.

He claimed that Indian think tanks based in abroad are conspiring to break Balochistan province from Pakistan.

"Indian think tanks abroad are mulling to separate Balochistan, they have plans, this is why I am putting pressure," Khan said, without mentioning who he is pressuring.

If at all any proof was needed that Niazi is unfit for public office, his latest interview suffices. Do your politics but don't dare to cross limits &amp; talk about division of Pakistan.”

Ever since removed from office earlier this year, Khan had been demanding fresh elections claiming that his government was ousted because of a so-called conspiracy hatched by US.

According to him, the incumbent coalition government led by Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party was "imported" and not a true representative of the Pakistani people.

Imran said that if Pakistan were to lose its nuclear deterrent capability, it would be fragmented into three pieces. "If the right decisions aren't made at this time then the country is going towards suicide," he warned.
