<p>The party was packed with some of the A-list celebrities from the entertainment industry, who were personally welcomed by the bride and the groom themselves.</p>

<p>A treat for sour eyes, the couple looked stunning as they posed for the paparazzi in front of a wall decorated with flowers which had their initials 'gk'. Dressed in a heavy sequins lehenga, Ginni looked every bit of a royal bride. She completed the look with chooda (red bangles). Her groom, Kapil, on the other hand, looked dapper in black attire.</p>

<p>Also in attendance were one of Bollywood`s most adorable couples, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. While the 'Tamasha'&nbsp;star looked graceful in a pink saree, her husband Ranveer looked handsome in a suit.</p>

<p>Kapil made a late entry at the wedding venue, which was done up in red and gold.</p>

<p>The bride stuck to the traditional for her attire, and accessorised her look with maatha patti, nath and statement earrings and a layered neckpiece.</p>

<p>Kapil sported a green sherwani, with string adding some drama to his look. His triple kalgi on the turban and sword grabbed attention, as did his bearded look.</p>

<p>The venue had ample security considering Kapil is an established name in the industry and has a huge fan following. Invitations to the wedding itself had a barcode for entry.</p>

<p>Guests were served Punjabi and Thai cuisine. The star attraction was a performance by Gurdas Maan.</p>

<p>The 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' star and Ginni wanted the wedding to be rooted in their culture which is why they chose Jalandhar for the wedding venue. Many of Kapil's co-stars and fellow comedians attended the wedding including Sumona Chakravarti and Krushna Abhishek.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Wedding season has gripped the Tinseltown. After Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' wedding, TV host, comedian and actor Kapil Sharma has announced his wedding date.&nbsp;<br />

Sharma, who went on a medical leave of sorts earlier this year, had announced that he would be tying the knot with his girlfriend Ginni Chatrath by the end of the year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Tuesday, Sharma took to Instagram to announce the wedding date- in a similar fashion as Deepika and Ranveer had announced their's last month.&nbsp;<br />
"With great joy in our hearts and blessings of our parents, it gives us immense pleasure to announce that Ginni and I will embark on a new journey of love, respect and togetherness on 12th of December, 2018. We would like to thank each and every one who has been a part of our wonderful sojourn and seek the best wishes and prayers of all our loved ones, lots of love," the card reads.</p>

We just went as a small baraat (wedding procession) and got bhabhi (sister-in-law) home. But by the time my sister got married, I had begun to earn well. So we had a fairly large wedding. He further added, "For the past few weeks, I've been promoting my Punjabi film. I didn't want to talk about the wedding during the promotions, although the media repeatedly kept asking."</p>
