I enjoy playing this format without a doubt."&nbsp;</p>

<p>India are coming off from winning the T20I series and playing the second ODI of a three-match series at&nbsp;Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad on Sunday (August 11). The first match was abandoned due to rain.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Having made his ODI debut in 1999, Gayle has scored 10397 runs in the format at an average of 37.80.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He has also played 103 Tests and 58 T20Is.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Before the match started, Gayle talked about the future of West Indies team, he said, "The guys like Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran those guys will carry West Indies forward."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Gayle is playing for the Vancouver Knights in the Global T20 competition being held in Brampton, Canada, though the ODI schedule means he would have to miss the semifinals and final if the Knights get that far. &nbsp;</p>

<p>"Chris is a very valuable player and he brings a lot of experience, a lot of knowledge, he lends a lot to any dressing room and it is great to have him in the squad," interim West Indies head coach Floyd Reifer said in a Cricket West Indies statement.</p>
