Four Hands, Two Sonatas finale (11-12) review: Song Kang and Lee Jun Young deliver an emotional goodbye

The makers unveiled yet another set of episodes of South Korean drama Four Hands, Two Sonatas. With every weekend, twists and turns have definitely kept the story going strong. Episodes 9 and 10 push Pi O and Jeong Yo's complicated relationship into darker territory. The result is an intense mix of classical music, resentment and unresolved friendship. Their preparation for the concerto gives the episodes a strong central conflict, allowing the piano to become a language through which both characters express feelings they struggle to say aloud.
What happens in episodes 9 and 10 of Four Hands, Two Sonatas?
In episode 9 of Four Hands, Two Sonatas, Kang Pi O discovers that his mother, Kang Ji Hye, ordered Choi Jeong Yo's kidnapping in 2017 to eliminate competition so Pi O could win the Harmonie Competition. Detective Martin sends Pi O a photograph showing his mother talking to the kidnapper ahead of the Prague competition. A furious Pi O confronts a drunken Ji Hye at home; she confesses to the crime, claiming it was an act of maternal love to secure his future.

Also Read: Four Hands, Two Sonatas ep (5-8) review: Song Kang Lee, Jun Young elevate the emotional stakes after a tragic turn When Pi O begs to come clean and apologise to Jeong Yeo, Ji Hye threatens to take her own life if the truth comes to light. Four Hands, Two Sonatas Ep (9-10) review: Music, revenge and raw emotions shine in Song Kang, Lee Jun Young’s K-drama

South Korean drama Four Hands, Two Sonatas, featuring Song Kang and Lee Jun Young in lead roles is grabbing the attention of fans with every twist and turn. The episodes of the K-drama have led to a devastating turning point, while the time jump introduces a successful but emotionally broken Pi O and a transformed Jeong Yo. Song Kang and Lee Jun Young remain the biggest strength of the drama, particularly when the story allows their complicated bond to take centre stage.
What happens in episodes 5-8 of Four Hands, Two Sonatas?
In episode 5, Kang Pi O and Choi Jeong Yo travel to Prague for the Harmonie International Competition, but Pi O's intense obsession and pressure to impress his grandfather lead to a devastating tragedy. Intent on proving himself, Pi O enters the Prague Harmonie International Competition and pressures Jeong Yo to join him. Pi O's relentless, obsessive practising takes a heavy physical and emotional toll on him, pushing the narrative from a story of friendship into a much darker exploration of pressure and rivalry. Amidst the rising tension, quieter character beats emerge—such as Jeong Yo noticing an issue with Pi O's pinky finger, highlighting their complex, deepening bond.
