Father Rodriguez, according to the police, initially refused to give the woman Communion bread on May 19. Instead, he told her, "she did not do the prior steps necessary" to receive the Communion.

He "advised her to receive the Sacrament of Penance (Confession) before coming back to receive Holy Communion (Eucharist)", said the Diocese of Orlando in a statement.

The woman, in her affidavit, said that she returned to the church for the noon mass and informed the priest that she had done the necessary steps and was now "accepted by God, thus, granting her the ability to participate in communion".

However, as per the statement from the Diocese, the priest asked her if she "had been to the Sacrament of Penance (Confession), to which she stated it was not his business."

Upon this, the woman told the police, he (the priest) "became upset and tried to ram the 'cookie' in her mouth".

She then tried to grab another Communion bread, but the priest grabbed her and bit her arm.&nbsp;

The diocese contends that "Father Rodriguez offered the woman Holy Communion on the tongue. At that point, the woman forcefully placed her hand in the vessel and grabbed some sacred Communion hosts, crushing them."

"Having only one hand free, Father Rodriguez struggled to restrain the woman as she refused to let go of the hosts. When the woman pushed him and reacting to a perceived act of aggression, Father Rodriguez bit her hand so she would let go of the hosts she grabbed," it adds.

The priest in a statement to the police said the woman had pushed him and "would not let go of the communion tray, and the only way he thought to extract her from it was to bite her arm."

Slamming the woman for calling Communion "cookie," the diocese said, "In the Catholic Tradition, the Eucharist is considered 'the source and summit' of worship and faith. The act of participation in Holy Communion therefore calls for a proper understanding, reverence, and devotion.".

"It is not something a person can arbitrarily demand and is certainly not a mere 'cookie', as the complainant called it."

It means it is 1.5 million times lower than the risk of being killed in an accident at home, around 65,000 times lower than the risk of being struck by lightning, and three times lower than the risk of being struck by a meteorite.

Falling space debris has never killed anyone, but the incident that happened with Otero could have caused casualties, as the man said that it almost hit his son.&nbsp;

A 51-year-old man from Florida was arrested trying to "run to London" across the Atlantic Ocean in a human-size homemade vessel resembling a hamster wheel.Reza Baluchi was detained on August 26 after the US Coast Guard intercepted his vessel about 70 miles (110km) off Tybee Island, Georgia, and&nbsp;was finally brought ashore on Sept. 1. 
 
The officers were preparing for the arrival of a major hurricane when they spotted Baluchi’s vessel.

During interrogation, Baluchi told the officers that he intended to travel more than 4,000 miles to London in his homemade hamster wheel, which the Coast Guard described as unsafe, as it was built with buoys.

Notably, Baluchi has been attempting similar voyages since 2014, and even threatened to kill himself during the recent interception if the officers interrupted his mission, the Coast Guard said, according to the New York Times newspaper.

The makeshift vessel that he has been using is fitted with paddles and designed to move forward as the wheel revolves.

"Based on the condition of the vessel - which was afloat as a result of wiring and buoys - [US Coast Guard] officers determined Baluchi was conducting a manifestly unsafe voyage," the criminal complaint says.

The officers eventually persuaded Baluchi to leave his vessel on August 29, following which he was charged in federal court in Miami on Tuesday (Sept. 5) with obstruction of boarding and violation of the Captain of the Port Order.

Florida man charged for sailing in Atlantic in hamster wheel, again

A man was rescued Saturday after being stuck on a partially submerged boat in the Atlantic Ocean for around 35 hours, around 12 miles off Florida's coast. 
 
On Friday (August 4), Charles Gregory left for an early morning fishing trip off the coast of St Augustine, Florida. However, the tide rose quicker than he estimated, as waves slammed his 12-foot jon boat – a flat-bottomed and lightweight vessel – and he was knocked into the water.

During his two-day struggle for survival, the man not only spotted sharks but also suffered jellyfish stings, said his father Raymond Gregory while speaking to CNN on Sunday (August 6).

Charles was pulled by boat crews from the Atlantic Ocean on Saturday morning after he was spotted by an aircrew about 12 miles offshore, said the US Coast Guard, in a news release. In the footage of the dramatic rescue shared by the Coast Guard, Charles can be seen seated in the inundated boat as its bow dips beneath the water's surface, before he was rescued by the crew. 
 
The Coast Guard stated that it all began on Friday (August 4) at around 4 am when Charles was last seen leaving from the Lighthouse Park Boat Ramp in the jon boat.
