Police officials in the United States were left puzzled after they discovered a dog behind the steering wheels of a car and the driver in the passenger seat in Colorado. 
 
The Springfield Police Department stated that a drunk man placed his pet pooch on the seat of the driver when a traffic stop was conducted by the officers on his car. 
 
Seeing the police officials, the man swapped places with the pet dog and sat on the passenger seat himself in an attempt to escape from being charged by the police officials.

The car was travelling at 52mph in a 30mph zone, said the police. The suspected driver had two active warrants for his arrest before he tried to fool officers with his own pooch in the driver's seat. 
 
The driver was seen exiting the car from the passenger side as he insisted that he was not the one who was driving the vehicle, said police.

<h2>Man, not dog, faces charges of drunk driving 
&nbsp;</h2>

The man showed clear signs of intoxication and started running when he was quizzed about the amount of drink he had. Within 20 yards of the vehicle, the man was apprehended, stated the police department. 
 
The dog was handed to a driver's acquaintance to be looked after while the suspect was imprisoned, said Springfield Police Department. 
 
The suspected man was booked into Springfield's Baca County Jail for his warrants and charged with “Driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, driving while ability impaired, driving under suspension, speeding 20 to 24 over the speed limit and resisting arrest”.

"On 05/15/23 around 9 pm, Springfield Police Department and Springfield EMS responded to the 800 block of Main Street in Springfield on a report of a Bicycle vs Semi wheel accident. Upon arrival it was discovered that a semi-trailer wheel and tire had sheered off the semi and struck a male party that was riding his bike,” the police official said. 
 
“The male party suffered serious injuries and is being flown out by helicopter at this time. 
This post is to notify the public of police activity. No further information will be posted at this time to respect the victim and his family,” he added. 
 
The whole incident was posted by Springfield Police Department on its Facebook page. 
 
Reacting to the post, one person said, “He was too drunk to use a GPS so he got a guide dog.” “I wish my dog could drive,” commented another. 
 
“Seriously glad no one was hurt,” said another.&nbsp;

Jackson and the driver of his ride-share car were killed after a black Ford F-150 pickup driven by a 37-year-old man struck both of them as they were standing on the side of a highway by their stopped vehicle.&nbsp;

Indiana police identified the suspect as Manuel Orrego-Savala, a Guatemalan national. Immigration authorities are working with local police on the case.

Since coming to office, Trump has repeatedly tried to link migration with crime.

Later on Tuesday, he is scheduled to host law enforcement agents at the White House for a roundtable on the violent MS-13 gang, which originated in California, but has ties to several countries in Central America.

Police said Rishabh - a resident of west Delhi&#39;s Janakpuri -- was driving his father&#39;s Honda City car at a speed of over 100 kmph and hit 3 persons over a 1.5 km stretch before he was stopped and caught. 
 
According to the police, the first victim was 40-year-old Kameshwar Prasad, a government employee, who was out for a morning walk. The impact of the speeding car threw him several metres away. 
 
But Rishabh did not stop, the police said. He drove on and next hit 40-year-old Santosh, who was cleaning cars in a residential area. He sped away again, driving in the wrong lane, and then hit 67-year-old Ashwani Anand, a property dealer who also was out for a morning walk with a neighbour.&nbsp; 
 
CCTV footage recovered from the area showed Mr Anand&#39;s accident. In the footage, which surfaced later in the day, Mr Anand could be seen noticing the car and trying to escape by running towards a pavement. But the car did not stop, and hit him. 
 
A police patrolling team chased and intercepted Rishabh after covering quite a distance. Police said Rishabh was in such a state that he couldn&#39;t even manage to stand up. 
 
Santosh, who was critically injured, is battling for his life. The police said he is not in a condition to give his statement. 
 
The car, which is registered in Rishabh&#39;s father&#39;s name, has been seized. The police said they found liquor bottles inside. 
 
Rishabh, the son of a businessman -- is a student of business administration in a college under a prominent government university in Delhi. He has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder and other charges under Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act, said senior police officer Pushpendra Kumar.
