Speaking at the Maharashtra Assembly, Fadnavis addressed the violence in Nagpur, which erupted after rumours spread that a right-wing group had burned a religious book. He described the riots as &ldquo;pre-planned,&rdquo; stating that specific houses and establishments were deliberately targeted, suggesting a conspiracy behind the unrest.

Fadnavis further claimed that Chhaava had intensified anger against Aurangzeb, saying, &ldquo;The movie has ignited people&rsquo;s anger against Aurangzeb. Still, everyone must keep Maharashtra peaceful.&rdquo;

The violence on Monday in Nagpur left several vehicles damaged and injured multiple people, including at least 15 police officers. One officer is reported to be in serious condition.
According to a Reuters report, members of the right-wing group Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) burned an effigy of Emperor Aurangzeb near his tomb while chanting slogans demanding its removal from Aurangabad.

According to ANI, authorities have imposed a curfew in multiple parts of Nagpur following the recent outbreak of violence in the city. The affected areas include Kotwali, Ganeshpeth, Lakadganj, Pachpaoli, and Shantinagar.
Curfew restrictions have also been enforced in Sakkardara, Nandanvan, Imamwada, Yashodhara Nagar, and Kapil Nagar.

Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhava will no longer clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule. Makers have shifted the release date of the drama film to February 2025 for not one but two reasons. In addition to avoiding the clash, the makers also wanted to honour the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.&nbsp;

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti falls on February 19, 2025. The film has been slated for February 14.&nbsp;

Making the announcement, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted on X, “VICKY KAUSHAL - RASHMIKA - AKSHAYE KHANNA: 'CHHAAVA' NEW RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT... #Chhaava is now set for a theatrical release on 14 Feb 2025... Chhava was initially slated to be released on December 6, 2024. Had they stuck to their original release date, it would have been only a day after the nationwide release of Pushpa 2.&nbsp;

Notably, both films star actress Rashmika Mandanna. The clash would have meant that it would have been difficult for Rashmika to promote both films.&nbsp;
