A Muscat-bound passenger has been apprehended by the CISF at the airport here for allegedly trying to smuggle out narcotic worth about Rs 8 lakh, a senior official said Friday.

Farhan A (25), a resident of Hyderabad, was intercepted late Thursday when he was about to take a flight to Muscat, he said.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel deployed for airport security found the man suspicious and checked his bag, leading to recovery of about 2 kgs of 'charas', a variety of cannabis.

The narcotic is worth about Rs 8 lakh and the man was later handed over to anti-drugs officials for further probe, he added.

A station manager at Dwarka Sector 21 metro station was allegedly beaten up by a few Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel today after a tiff over a minor issue, officials said.

The incident, which led to temporary suspension of services between Dwarka Sector -21 and Janakpuri West stations after 9 pm, has prompted the CISF to order an inquiry into the alleged assault.

According to sources, the incident at around 12:30 pm was triggered by an argument that ensued when a tyre of a vehicle apparently belonging to the CISF was "deflated" since it was parked in an "unauthorised zone" outside the premises of Dwarka Sector 21 station.

"A CISF personnel then asked a DMRC staff as to why was it done. The staff told him that since it was parked illegally, the station manager had ordered to deflate the tyre," a source said.

The CISF is tasked with guarding the Delhi Metro facilities.

"That CISF staff, along with a couple of other personnel, then went to the room of the station manager and thrashed him," the source alleged.

Dwarka Sector-21 is the terminus of the busy Blue Line (Dwarka Sector-21-Noida City Centre/Vaishali) corridor.

"A complaint has been lodged on the matter by the DMRC and the CISF is taking up the issue departmentally also. Senior officers from both the DMRC and CISF had to intervene to sort out the issue," a senior DMRC official said.

A CISF spokesperson, when contacted said, "An inquiry has been ordered and action will be taken based on its findings."

The spokesperson, however, claimed that the station manager had "verbally abused" the CISF personnel before the assault incident took place.

A senior CISF official said, they would try to resolve the issue amicably.

Due to the issue, services on Dwarka Sector 21-Janakpuri West section were affected for a while.

"The services on Blue Line from Dwarka Sector 21 to Janakpuri West were put on hold temporarily from 9:10 pm onwards due to DMRC staff agitating over the assualt (by CISF personnel) issue," the DMRC later said.

The services were resumed around 9:45 pm, it said.

Services on the line from Janakpuri West to Noida City Centre/Vaishali were running normal, a DMRC official said.&nbsp

The case has been registered under section 25 and 54 of Arms Act,1959.

A Central India Security Force (CISF) police personnel&nbsp;allegedly opened fire on his colleagues, killing three of them and critically injuring another at their unit at a thermal power station in Maharashtra&#39;s Aurangabad district of Bihar today.

The accused&nbsp;has been identified as constable Balveer Singh who hails from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. His colleagues, three of whom were&nbsp;head constables and one an assistant sub-inspector were killed.

The CISF policeman&nbsp;lost his cool following a dispute over leave and fired from his rifle, Superintendent of Police Dr Satyaprakash said. He also added that senior officials have rushed to the spot.

Balveer has been arrested, they said.

&quot;Preliminary information states that Balveer opened fire on his other colleagues, using a service rifle, in an alleged fratricide incident. While three have been killed in the firing, one another is critical and has been rushed to a nearby hospital,&quot; they said. 
 
Officials said the incident was reported at&nbsp;about 12:30 am&nbsp;at the Nabinagar Power Generation Company Ltd (NPGCL) unit in the said district where the force is deployed for security duties to guard the facility.

A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit is deployed in the NPGCL unit as part of its mandate to secure the facility.

They said the incident took place when Balveer allegedly used his INSAS rifle to shoot his colleagues who had assembled to leave for the shift&nbsp;change and after the first hit, he was overpowered by others present around him.

It is understood that Balveer had come back after a two-month yoga course and had some issues related with his&nbsp;leave, they said.

NPGCL is a Joint Venture of the&nbsp;National Thermal Power Corporation&nbsp;(NTPC) and Bihar State Electricity Board.

The CISF said a Court of Inquiry has been ordered into the incident.&nbsp;
