Actor Bradley Cooper has been roped in to star in actor-filmmaker Clint Eastwood`s next film 'The Mule'. As reported by Variety, 'The Mule'&nbsp;is Eastwood`s next directing gig that he also plans to star in.

The film is a co-production between Warner Bros and Imperative Entertainment, and will mark Eastwood`s first acting job since the 2012 baseball drama `Trouble With the Curve`.

The film could also be one of his final on-screen appearances. The movie is based on a 2014 New York Times Magazine feature by Sam Dolnick and follows Earl Stone (Eastwood), a man in his 80s who is broke, alone, and facing foreclosure of his business when he is offered a job that simply requires him to drive - easy enough.

But unbeknownst to Earl, he`s signed on as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel, and also hit the radar of hard-charging DEA agent Colin Bates (Cooper). Cooper and Eastwood last worked together in 2014 film `American Sniper`.&nbsp;

Hangover actor Bradley Cooper stunned the CinemaCon attendees in Las Vegas as he released the trailer for his directorial debut A Star is Born on Tuesday. The emotional first trailer of the film rose got a hearty applause from the crowd of theatre owners and exhibitors as reported by a leading entertainment website.&nbsp;

The film stars Bradley Cooper as a superstar who is now losing his shine at the box office alongside singer Lady Gaga who plays an aspiring singer. The film will be the third remake of A Star is Born, which has classic versions with Judy Garland (the original 1937 film) and Barbra Streisand (1976 version) in the role of the young singer that Lady Gaga is playing now.&nbsp;

The story centres on a fading movie star who helps an aspiring actress as he fails to manage his own.&nbsp;

Talking about the film at the CinemaCon, Bradley said, "It's a big swing this movie, I totally get that. But you can't control what moves you. And I always wanted to tell a love story." He added that Lady Gaga is "kind of a revelation in this movie."

The film is three years in the making and features live-singing on real stages at festivals like Glastonbury and Coachella.

A Star is Born hits theatres on October 5 this year.

With much of the cast painted in different colours and with most of the film shot on green screen, the actors at the premiere explained how strange the experience was but Pratt shrugged it off saying &quot;Acting is embarrassing, you know. In the end, the end result is really cool usually, hopefully but in the moment it can be really embarrasing so there&#39;s pretty weird and embarrasing moments&quot;.

It was announced this week that director James Gunn will be returning to helm the third in the franchise. &quot;Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2&quot;, which features a host of cameos including David Hasselhoff, will be released in cinemas internationally from April 25.
