First, it will do a fly-by of Earth and the Moon, then will slingshot around Venus in 2025 before swinging past Earth again in 2029. 
Once the probe arrives in 2031, it will need to very carefully hit the brakes to enter Jupiter's orbit.

From there, JUICE will focus on Jupiter's and its three icy, ocean-bearing moons Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.

ESA JUICE mission delayed by 24 hours due to bad weather

The death toll in the fierce winter storm that slammed the United States in the past week has jumped to 61.&nbsp;Two more deaths were reported on Thursday from New York, bringing the total deaths in the region to 39, Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz said.

New York remained one of the hardest hit regions by the “once-in-a-generation” storm, with Buffalo city recording the most deaths.

Of the 39 deaths, 17 were found outside, 11 in homes, four in cars, four died while shovelling or snow-blowing and three were the result of an inability of emergency responders to reach them in time, Poloncarz said, reports AFP news agency.

In midwestern Ohio state, nine deaths were recorded in car crashes that occurred due to the monster storm. At least half-a-dozen other states also recorded fatalities.

Meanwhile, questions are being raised against the response of the authorities, with Poloncarz calling the city's handling "embarrassing".

Criticisms are being specifically directed to the delay in issuing travel ban orders by the officials.

At the&nbsp;Yatri Niwas in Chanderkote, Ramban district&nbsp; about 4,000 pilgrims who had left Jammu for the Pahalgam route were stopped. The pilgrims who left Jammu for the Baltal route&nbsp;were allowed to proceed.&nbsp;

Manoj Sinha,&nbsp;Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir visited&nbsp;the Amarnath Yatra base camp on Monday&nbsp;at Baltal to take a stock of facilities.&nbsp;

In a tweet,&nbsp;the office of Lieutenant Governor said, "Interacted with Shri Amarnathji pilgrims, officers, ponywalas at Baltal base camp earlier today. Enquired about the facilities, quality of services, well-being of Yatris, volunteers and carried out on-site inspection of Control Rooms."

Earlier this month his office had claimed that, "Adequate arrangements are in place to ensure safe and smooth Yatra. Directed the officials for regular inspection of lodging, food, health facilities, sanitation and taking care of cleanliness drive along the Yatra route and base camp."

Six trekkers from Delhi and Shimla have reportedly been missing in Himachal Pradesh's tribal Kinnaur district due to bad weather since September 21, news agency ANI reported Tuesday.

The youths reportedly all below 27 years of age, had started the trek from Jakha in Dodra Kwar Tehsil in Shimla district on Friday and were supposed to reach Sangla in Kinnaur district.

Three trekkers identified as, Puneet, Nikhil and Ashutosh,&nbsp;are reportedly from Jubbal area in Shimla district. However, the identities of the other three were yet to be ascertained but they are&nbsp;said to be from Delhi.

According to reports, the rescue operation for locating and bringing them to safer places will restart from Wednesday morning.

The ANI further reported that a rescue team has already been constituted which has proceeded towards Kinnaur on Tuesday morning and it would start trekking Sangta from Jakha on Wednesday.

Kinnaur police have also been intimated and a police rescue team along with the jawans of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) has proceeded towards the Rupin pass.

A fresh warning about thunderstorm and squall hitting West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh on Friday has been issued, the home ministry said, and noted that 124 people were killed while more than 300 injured in five states due to thunderstorm and lightning in the last two days.

The maximum casualty was reported in Uttar Pradesh where 73 people were killed, while 91 others were injured.

Most of the deaths and injuries in the state took place in Agra region, a home ministry spokesperson said.

In Rajasthan, altogether 35 people were killed and 206 injured, while eight people were killed in Telangana, six in Uttarakhand and two in Punjab. Nearly 100 people were injured in Telangana, Uttarakhand and Punjab.

Following the thunderstorms, power supply was cut off in many areas as squall uprooted trees and snapped electricity cables. At least 12,000 electric poles were uprooted and 2,500 transformers damaged in the affected states in the last two days.

The home ministry spokesperson said a fresh warning has been issued about possible thunderstorms accompanied with squall which may hit four states --- West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh -- today.
