Speaking on the occasion, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hit out at the opposition for their stance on the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and said lamps are being lit now where bullets were once fired.“During the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in this very Ayodhya, Congress said Ram is a myth, while the Samajwadi Party fired bullets at Ram devotees,” Yogi said.“Today, Uttar Pradesh does not have to face an identity crisis. We are now lighting lamps where bullets were once fired,” the UP CM said.

Criticising the opposition for turning down the invitation for the consecration ceremony, Yogi said, “These are the same people who prostrate at Babar’s grave, but when they are invited to the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Mandir, they reject it.” Highlighting the transformation of the city, he said Ayodhya now showcases an “amazing confluence of development and heritage”.“When we first decided to hold the Deepotsav in Ayodhya Dham in 2017, the intention was to show the world how lighting of lamps is done.”This year, more than 26 lakh lamps were lit across 56 ghats in Ayodhya, with around 28 lakh lamps being arranged in advance with the aim of setting a new world record, officials said.

It was described by Shashikant Maharaj, president of Anjani Seva Sansthan.&nbsp;The idols and the throne were sculpted from white marble in Jaipur, Rajasthan and were donned with designed crowns, bejewelled belts, embroidered robes, and fabrics embedded with zari and precious stones and all of them designed by the renowned designer Manish Tiwari. The temple walls were sculpted with intricate designs of various depictions of Hindu deities.

The second floor will feature a display of the Ramayana in multiple languages, including its oldest known version. The ocassion was commemorated with the distribution of 62,000 boxes among devotees. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which manages the Ram Temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh, received an email warning of a bomb threat on Monday night, following which a case was lodged and security measures enhanced in the religious town. The police in Ayodhya have lodged an FIR and initiated an investigation. The warning was received in the mail of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Monday night. In the threat mail, it was written that the authorities should increase the security of the Ram Temple, which was inaugurated in January last year.
Police said that an individual from Tamil Nadu wrote the email in English, reported news agency PTI. The threat mail was also received in many other districts, including Barabanki and Chandauli. The Ram Temple trust filed a complaint in Ayodhya, and the cyber cell of UP Police is probing the issue.

The police are taking the bomb threat seriously, as the Ram temple drew 135.5 million domestic visitors in 2024, overtaking the Taj Mahal as Uttar Pradesh&rsquo;s most visited spot. Accordingly, the police have increased patrolling around the city. However, this is not the first time the Ram temple has received a threat. In November 2024, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the founder of the banned outfit &lsquo;Sikhs for Justice&rsquo; issued a video warning of potential bloodshed at the Ram temple.

The police in Ayodhya have lodged an FIR and initiated an investigation. The warning was received in the mail of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Monday night. In the threat mail, it was written that the authorities should increase the security of the Ram Temple, which was inaugurated in January last year. Police said that an individual from Tamil Nadu wrote the email in English, reported news agency PTI. The threat mail was also received in many other districts, including Barabanki and Chandauli. The Ram Temple trust filed a complaint in Ayodhya, and the cyber cell of UP Police is probing the issue. In Sambhal, too, security personnel were deployed in large numbers at temples and nearby areas, and officials monitored the situation closely through surveillance systems.
