In total, the 49-year-old has 16 more tats on her body. In August last year, her tattoo artist Mr K gave a sneak peek of her two geometric abstract dagger tattoos on the inside of her hands.

She also has a Buddhist scripture tattoo on her back, which is written in Yantra style. She got her back tattoos in Thailand in 2016.

She was born in Manhattan and received her opera training in Greece when she was 13 and later moved to Italy for her career. Throughout the years, she dealt with near-sightedness that left her nearly blind and multiple scandals in her personal and professional life, Variety reported.

“I take very seriously the responsibility to Maria’s life and legacy. I will give all I can to meet the challenge. Pablo Larrain is a director I have long admired. To be allowed the chance to tell more of Maria’s story with him, and with a script by Steven Knight, is a dream,” said Jolie.

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie and her former partner Brad Pitt were embroiled in a highly emotional war over their mutually-bought Chateau Miraval winery. And as per the latest reports, the legal battle has come to a conclusion with a judge ruling in favour of Angelina and against Brad.&nbsp;

The former couple Brad and Angelina had purchased the Chateau Miraval winery in 2008. The estimated value of the property at the time was $28.3 million. Since they had agreed not to sell their interests in the company and Angelina went on to sell her share of the French estate to liquor giant Stoli after her separation with the actor, Brad sued her. Now, as per Page Six, Angelina’s legal team has subpoenaed documents from Brad as well as his company and his business manager on July 22.

Despite the actor's legal team fighting tooth and nail to have the courts deny Angelina’s request for any papers and correspondence, a LA judge said that Brad and his partners must turn over all the documents to Angelina’s team.

Even if Brad wished to appeal, the judge stated that they cannot wait until that appeal decision is out. The Page Six report also claimed that Brad had turned down an offer to sell the French estate to the Stoli Group even when he was married to Angelina.

Sources close to the actress' business operation told the publication that Brad is just letting his anger get in the way of common business sense. "Any rational human being would be happy for Stoli to [be a partner in their business. They have top-notch marketing and distribution,” the sources said. “He just can’t see past his hatred of Jolie.”

The Violence Against Women Act expired at the end of 2018 and U.S. President Joe Biden, who originally sponsored the bill as a senator in 1994, had campaigned on renewing it. 
 
The House of Representatives approved its renewal in a 244-172 vote almost a year ago, but legislation stalled in Congress amid partisan disputes over access to guns and transgender issues. 
 
"The reason many people struggle to leave abusive situations is that they have been made to feel worthless. When there is silence from a Congress too busy to renew the Violence Against Women Act for a decade, it reinforces that sense of worthlessness," said Jolie. "You think, I guess my abuser is right. I guess I`m not worth very much." 
 
Republican Senators Joni Ernst and Lisa Murkowski and Democrats Dick Durbin and Dianne Feinstein issued a joint media release confirming they had reached a "compromise" deal to get the bill moving. 
 
Biden said in a statement he was "grateful that this critical bipartisan bill is moving forward, and I look forward to Congress delivering it to my desk without delay."

The actress told Indian news agency PTI during their interaction over Zoom that her character in 'Eternals' is similar to who she is in real life. "I'm somebody who questions herself often, and I don't walk around with confidence that I'm ever good enough or strong enough."

IS fighters took advantage of poor visibility to unleash suicide attackers on SDF forces along the front line in the Euphrates valley late on Sunday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

"Twenty-three SDF fighters were killed and nine IS jihadists were also killed in fighting that lasted all night and into Monday morning," Observatory chief Rami Abdel Rahman said.

The SDF launched what is meant to be the final offensive on the jihadist organisation four months ago with air and ground support from coalition forces.
