<p>Taking a step towards resolving such kinds of issues, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is reportedly creating a new women-only combat unit, the Times of Israel report said. &nbsp;</p>

<p>It will surely alleviate some concerns of these women. &nbsp;</p>

<p>From March, the army will assign conscripts from women enlisting for combat roles into the new platoon. It will be established within an existing border defence unit, which will have officers of both genders, the report said. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The move will allow more women to serve in this fighting unit, which has been based on practical considerations and not a “social agenda,” it said citing IDF. &nbsp;</p>

<p>There are single-sex military units already present for religious men, who have similar concerns, the paper said. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>A remote village in Kyrgyzstan has set an example to the world. A group of girls have come together to form the country's first-ever all-female ice hockey team.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The team called 'Shapak' was&nbsp;formed in the northern village of Otradone&nbsp;which is 400 kilometres east of the capital city Bishkek. The team was formed&nbsp;three years ago when 15 schoolgirls began training for the game on a farming plot.</p>

<p>The plot's owner Salamat Abdyrakhmanov, who is also the team's coach said that he uses his plot in a multi purposely way, he said: "This is my allotment. In the summer, I cultivate the land here, it's my plot of land. I plant potatoes, sunflowers, you can grow anything here. In summer, it's used for agriculture, in winter, I create an ice rink. This is already the sixth year I've done it, I use my allotment all year round."</p>

<p>Her daughter was hit by the puck in the eye&nbsp;which caused the player a concussion. She&nbsp;has recovered now and joined her teammates.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>INSV Tarini is a 56-foot sailing vessel, which was inducted into the Indian Navy earlier this year and showcases the &#39;Make in India&#39; initiative on the International forum.</p>

<p>The expedition, titled &#39;Navika Sagar Parikrama&#39;, is in consonance with the national policy to empower women to attain their full potential.</p>

<p>It further aims to showcase &#39;Nari Shakti&#39; on the world platform and help revolutionalise the societal mindset towards women in India by raising the visibility of their participation in the challenging environment.</p>

<p>The vessel will return to Goa in April 2018.</p>
