The Taliban's chief spokesperson said on Sunday (November 23) that Afghanistan's supreme leader has ordered the judges to fully implement aspects of the Islamic law that include public executions, stonings and floggings, and the amputation of limbs for thieves.&nbsp;

In a tweet, Zabihullah Mujahid noted that Hibatullah Akhundzada gave the "obligatory" command, which was finalised after the secretive leader met with a group of judges.&nbsp;

Mujahid quoted Akhundzada as saying: "Carefully examine the files of thieves, kidnappers and seditionists. Those files in which all the sharia (Islamic law) conditions of hudud and qisas have been fulfilled, you are obliged to implement. This is the ruling of sharia, and my command, which is obligatory."&nbsp;

News agency AFP reported that Akhundzada rules by decree from Kandahar. Notably, Akhundzada has not been filmed or photographed in public since the Taliban returned to power in August last year.&nbsp;

However, the so-called Taliban 2.0 remained more or less the same. Analysts have stated in the past that, the new version of the Taliban is not willing to make significant political concessions.&nbsp;

There are no indications that the militant group is looking forward to making drastic changes to its extremist ideology or changing its harsh social policies, especially regarding women's mobility, education, or right to work.&nbsp;

It doesn’t end here, the Taliban leader, even advised that women should not leave their houses until it is necessary and even outlined punishments for male relatives of women who break the rule.&nbsp;

On Sunday (May 7), women in Kabul, the capital wore the traditional conservative Muslim attire. The majority wore the traditional hijab, which consists of headscarf and a long robe or coat, but a few wore a burqa, which covers their faces and hides the eyes behind netting as ordered by the Taliban a day before.

Akhunzada, prefers the harsh parts of the group’s earlier rule during the 1990s, when the females were generally excluded from school, work and public life.

The Taliban's top commander has warned of the dangers of infiltrators and turncoats in the group that has taken control of Afghanistan.

In a rare written public speech on Thursday, the reclusive Haibatullah Akhundzada urged Taliban leaders to purge their ranks, underscoring the gravity of the threat.&nbsp;

"All those seniors of their groups must check within their ranks and see whether there is any unknown entity working against the government's will, which must be removed as quickly as possible," he adds in it.

"Whatever goes wrong, the elder will be held accountable for the repercussions of his acts in this world and in the afterlife," he said in a message shared by numerous Taliban accounts on Twitter.

After overrunning the capital and deposing the failing US-backed government in August, the Taliban declared a new Emirate of Afghanistan.&nbsp;

However, after 20 years of guerilla warfare, the Taliban has been compelled to swiftly grow its ranks by recruiting former opponents, allies, and young madrassa students.

Last week, for example, three wedding guests were killed by gunmen posing as Taliban in a quarrel over the playing of music, something the organisation opposes.

When Taliban took control of Afghanistan on August 15 this year, reports started surfacing soon that claimed that the leader&nbsp;— who had before this never made a public appearance and whose whereabouts have largely remained unknown — was present in Kandahar city of Afghanistan.&nbsp;

More than a month after Taliban's takeover, news started surfacing that the supreme leader Akhunzada was dead as his whereabouts were still unknown and there were reports of&nbsp;deputy prime minister Mullah Baradar also being declared dead in a violent clash with the Haqqanis during talks of government formation.

The supreme leader has always been maintained a secret profile as very limited information is available about his daily role in the organisation.&nbsp;Akhunzada had taken over as the Taliban chief in 2016 when he had to step in to save the terrorist organisation from a&nbsp; crisis.

Taliban faces a monumental task ahead of them with a crippled economy, drought and security challenges including from the local ISIS-K.

As they begin their transition to a&nbsp;"governing role", the group is already facing opposition to their rule amid protests&nbsp;from Afghans. There were demonstrations led by women in cities across the country.

In an effort to curb protests, the interior ministry has already issued its first order saying that prior permission was needed to hold any demonstration. It also warned journalists from covering such demonstrations adding that the group would not tolerate any resistance against its rule.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan's new acting prime minister Mohammad Hasan Akhund has called on former officials who fled the country to return saying that the group will guarantee their safety.

Akhund told Al Jazeera&nbsp;channel&nbsp;that the government wanted to establish positive relations with countries in the region and beyond and would guarantee the security of diplomats, embassies and NGOs.

The new prime minister struck a conciliatory tone saying that the Taliban wanted only good for the Afghan people and they seek to establish an Islamic system.

The new head of the government also reiterated the group's promise of amnesty for anyone who worked alongside the US and backed the 2001 invasion saying that no one will be subject to revenge.

“No one will be able to prove that he was subjected to revenge and in such tense circumstances, it is easy to do what you want but the movement is disciplined and controls its gunmen and we have not harmed anyone because of his previous actions,” Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund said.

The makeup of the Taliban's interim government has already met with criticism with Afghan's noting the complete lack of women and poor ethnic representation with no inclusive government.

Taliban government's new orders: Ex-officials should return home, approval needed before protests

With the new government in place in Afghanistan, the <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/we-will-judge-taliban-by-its-actions-says-us-on-new-government-411468">Taliban's </a>supreme leader Hibatullah Akhundzada said that the government will work towards upholding Sharia law.

"In the future, all matters of governance and life in Afghanistan will be regulated by the laws of the Holy Sharia,"&nbsp;Akhundzada said in a statement.

Akhundzada added that the new leadership would ensure peace and development and that the Islamic Emirate has no problem with anyone. The Taliban leader also asserted that all will take part in strengthening the system and will rebuild the&nbsp;war-torn country.

On the foreign policy, the statement said Afghanistan wants a healthy relationship with the world based on mutual respect while adding that it was committed to upholding all international laws and treaties not in conflict with Islamic law. It also assured that the country will not be used to harm any other country and promised safety for foreign diplomats, NGOs and businesses in the country.

The new government also promised to work towards improving media quality in the country and said that it is their duty to have impartiality in broadcasts but with the caveat that it should be in line with both Islamic law and take into account "national interests".

The 33 member Taliban cabinet has one Uzbek - Abdul Salam Hanafi who is the deputy head of state and two Tjiks - Qari Fasih, the Army chief and Qari Din Muhammad Hanif, the economic affairs minister.

There was no mention of any policies towards women's rights in Akhundzada's statement even as the Taliban promised an inclusive government none of the government appointees were women.

In fact, all the top positions were handed to leaders from the Taliban and the Haqqani Network which is the most violent branch of the Taliban known for devastating suicide attacks.

Watch: On the foreign policy, the statement said Afghanistan wants a healthy relationship with the world based on mutual respect while adding that it was committed to upholding all international laws and treaties not in conflict with Islamic law. It also assured that the country will not be used to harm any other country and promised safety for foreign diplomats, NGOs and businesses in the country.
