<p>The Talent Trends study 2023 by global recruitment firm Michael Page found that 75 per cent of these people are active job seekers, meaning they are looking out for opportunities on a given day or plan to find a new job in the next six months.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While 23 per cent were reported to be on the fence but stayed open about finding a new job.</p>

<p>In total, 98 per cent white-collar skilled people surveyed by the Talent Trends across industry sectors were reportedly open to new job opportunities.</p>

<p>Ankit Agarwala, managing director of Michael Page India, told Economic Times that the findings simply show that people are "constantly looking out despite the economic realities".</p>

<p>The participants reportedly included 21 per cent top-level, including C-suite employees, 51 per cent departmental managers, 14 per cent mid-level such as line managers, while 10 per cent included ones without any managerial responsibilities.</p>

<p>The study showed that people are open to new opportunities notwithstanding when they started their current job.</p>

<p>Mark Mobius, founder of Mobius Capital Partners and a market expert, also sees India as a viable alternative. They can do the same kind of manufacturing and so forth," Mobius was quoted as saying by Fox Business.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As per a research conducted by aviation expert Anchit Gupta last year, at least 152 IAF pilots and 534 aircrafts were lost to accidents and crashes in the past 30 years.&nbsp;<br />
As per Gupta’s research, the number of accidents that resulted in loss of aircraft were between 20 and 30 for the majority of the 1990s, 10 and 20 through the 2000s and between single and double figures until 2022.</p>

<p>Nepal on Sunday decided to allow India's Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited to develop a second hydropower project in the country. At present SJVN is developing a 900-MW Arun -III hydroelectric project, a run-of-river located on the Arun River in Eastern Nepal, scheduled to be completed in 2024.</p>

<p>A meeting of the Investment Board Nepal (IBN) chaired by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal aka Prachanda approved the draft project development agreement (PDA) to be signed with India's state-owned SJVN to develop the 669-megawatt (MW) Lower Arun Hydropower project in eastern Nepal, an official statement said.</p>

<p>The SJVN has formed a local company, Lower Arun Power Development Company, in Nepal.</p>

<p>The Lower Arun project located in the Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur districts will not have any reservoir or dam and will be a tailrace development of Arun-III, which will mean water re-enters the river for the Lower Arun project.</p>

<p>This is the third project undertaken, all through negotiation windows, on the Arun River after the 900 MW Arun-III and 695 MW Arun-IV hydroelectricity projects.</p>

The draft needs to be endorsed by the Council of Ministers before it gets implemented. The previous meeting of the IBN had approved Rs 92.68 billion investment for the development of the project. The SJVN has formed a local company, Lower Arun Power Development Company, in Nepal. The Lower Arun project located in the Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur districts will not have any reservoir or dam and will be a tailrace development of Arun-III, which will mean water re-enters the river for the Lower Arun project. A recent report has revealed that a staggering 75 per cent of the ministers in the newly appointed cabinet in India's southern state of Karnataka have unresolved criminal cases pending against them and that a whopping 97 per cent of them are as rich as Richie Rich. The news comes after the&nbsp;Indian National Congress won the election in a landslide earlier this month.</p>

<p>In its analysis of the self-sworn affidavits of 32 of the 34 ministers including the chief minister, the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) found that 24 of the ministers have pending criminal cases against them out of which 22 per cent, or seven, have serious criminal cases.</p>

<p>The charges these ministers face, among various others, include offences such as participating in riots, wielding dangerous weapons, engaging in criminal intimidation, tampering with or destroying documents or electronic records to obstruct their use as evidence, and endangering the lives or safety of others.</p>

<h2><strong>Millionaires all around</strong></h2>

<p>A thorough examination of the minister's self-declared assets and liabilities revealed that an overwhelming majority (97 per cent) of them are millionaires. The average assets of the 32 ministers analysed are 1.19 billion rupees or USD 14.4 million.</p>

<p>The deputy chief minister of Karnataka, DK Shivakumar, holds the highest declared assets, valued at INR 14.13 billion or around USD 171 million.</p>

<p>In comparison, on the other end of the spectrum, with the lowest declared assets is Timmapur Ramappa Balappa from the Mudhol (SC) constituency who by his own declaration possesses assets amounting to INR 5.8 million or around USD 70,880.</p>

<h2><strong>Educational qualifications&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The report also went through the millionaire ministers' educational qualifications. Six ministers, or about 19 per cent of the newly appointed cabinet, don't even have an undergraduate degree and have stated their educational qualification as being between 8th and 12th grade.</p>

<p>24 ministers, or 75 per cent, said they possess a graduate degree or higher. Additionally, two ministers declared that they are diploma holders.</p>

<h2><strong>An inclusive cabinet?</strong></h2>

<p>Interestingly, the new cabinet consists of only one woman, Laxmi R. Hebbalkar from the Belgaum constituency. She has declared assets worth over INR 130 million or USD 1.57 million and liabilities exceeding INR 50 million or USD 70,000, according to the ADR report.</p>

<p>Unsurprisingly, if we talk of age distribution, almost half (44 per cent) or 14 ministers of the Karnataka cabinet are aged between 61 and 80. The remaining 18 ministers, or 56 per cent, fall between the ages of 41 and 60.</p>

<p>In India, where about 65 per cent of the population is young, aged 35 or less, the mean age of Lok Sabha MPs for the last 20 years as per India Today's Data Intelligence Unit (DIU) has remained above 50.</p>
