PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday responded to the no-confidence motion in Lok Sabha after Rahul Gandhi targeted the government over Rafale deal earlier in the day.
The 12-hour long no-confidence motion debate!
Capping the almost 12-hour debate on Friday marked with sharp attacks and counter-attacks between the ruling alliance and the opposition leaders, Modi asserted that some people are indulging in "negative" politics, hint directed at the scathing speech launched by Rahul Gandhi.

'Rahul speaks on topics he has no knowledge about'
Earlier in the day, Gandhi had launched a scathing attack on the prime minister accusing him of being a "bhagidar" (collaborator), instead of a chowkidar (security guard), while alleging corruption in the multi-billion dollar Rafale jet deal between India and France. Later in the day PM Modi also took a dig at Rahul Gandhi in his speech as he said, "Rahul speaks on topics he has no knowledge about."
"India has punished Congress for supporting one family", he then added.

PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi
After a no-holds-barred and scathing criticism of Modi on several issues including Rafale jet deal, the main highlight of the day was Congress president Rahul Gandhi walking across to the Prime Minister and giving him a nice hug, a gesture which took the Lok Sabha members and especially PM Modi by surprise.

PM Modi looks non-plussed
The unexpected hug left PM Modi initially looking non-plussed and did not stand up as Gandhi first gestured, but PM Modi recovered quickly and called Gandhi back and patted him on the back.

Rahul Gandhi and his 'wink'
Making gestures with his hands and eyes to show Gandhi's 'wink', PM Modi also in his speech said it was clear in front of everyone what the Congress leader's eyes did and the same was splashed across TV channels throughout the day.
Referring to Gandhi's statement that the prime minister could not see him eye-to-eye, Modi said, "You are a 'naamdaar' (known by name) and I am 'kaamdar' (known by work). I cannot dare see you eye-to-eye."
