Newborn babies, fish, stray dogs and more...what will China test for Covid next?

Aside from non-human subjects, China is subjecting newborns to the painful coronavirus testing. Social media is already flooded with images and videos of young schoolchildren, kindergartners, and even newborn babies undergoing the test.

All of us have gone through the paranoid stage where we disinfected everything that came into our houses, even fresh foods like fruits and vegetables. However, two years later despite World Health Organization (WHO), claim that there is currently no proof that COVID-19 can be spread through food or food packaging, the country continues to randomly test foods, including different types of seafood, fruits like kiwis, etc. 

Pictures of fish in China being tested for the COVID-19 virus are all over social media. Health professionals have actually been seen examining live fish for the virus.

In China zoo animals, including Geese and hippos have also been subjected to covid tests. Videos online show workers manhandling animals for the testing process.

The tests have also been conducted on cats and dogs, both stray and pets. These creatures in particular have endured a great deal of suffering, with many being abandoned by their owners and others being taken away by force. Earlier, images of terrified dogs and cats packed inside sacks were also circulated on social media.

There have also been tales of animals being quarantined and forcefully separated from their owners. A pet cat is seen in the image being quarantined after its owner tested positive.
