Hollywood Walk of Fame 2021: Meet the new batch of celebs to get their own stars

While many annual ceremonies have been put on hold due to coronavirus, on Friday, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced 35 new celebrities who will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in year 2021.

Honorees include stars like, Shia LaBeouf, Zac Efron, Courteney Cox, 'Avenger' stars Josh Brolin and Benedict Cumberbatch.

 

Zac Efron

American singer and actor Zac Efron to star in the Walk of Fame in the category of Motion Pictures. The actor marked his breakthrough as Troy Bolton in the 'High School Musical trilogy'. Efron has starred in the many films 'New Year's Eve',  'Extremely Wicked', 'Shockingly Evil', 'Vile', and 'Scoob!'.

Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf will be honoured with a star in Walk of Fame in the category of Motion Pictures. Shia LaBeouf became known among young audiences after playing Louis Stevens on the Disney Channel weekly program Even Stevens, a role that later earned him a Daytime Emmy Award.

Josh Brolin and Benedict Cumberbatch

'Avengers' stars Josh Brolin, and Benedict Cumberbatch will be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2021. Brolin is known as a supervillain Thanos in an MCU movie, Cumberbatch is famous for portraying the titular detective of the BBC's 'Sherlock' and the Doctor Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Courteney Cox

Courteney Cox a.k.a Monica Geller from 'Friends' is among the 35 stars who will become 2021 Hollywood Walk Of Fame inductees. Cox gained worldwide recognition for her starring as Monica Geller on the 'Friends' and in the horror film series 'Scream'.

Nick Cannon

Nick Cannon a.k.a Nicholas Scott Cannon is a successful performer known for his many roles, stand-up appearances, and sketch comedy shows, as some of his shows include, 'Wild 'N Out', 'America's Got Talent', 'Lip Sync Battle Shorties' and 'The Masked Singer'. American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson is among the celebrities who will be honoured with an iconic star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2021. She has numerous top 40 radio number-one singles, such as 'Since U Been Gone' and 'Because of You', the album sold over 12 million copies worldwide and earned Clarkson two Grammy Awards.

The Chi-Lites

Sarah Brightman

Singer Sarah Brightman is to be honoured with a star on the Iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame. The songstress has collected over 200 gold and platinum record awards in 38 different countries. In 2010, she was named by Billboard the fifth most influential and best-selling classical artist of the 2000s decade.

Big Boy

American radio host and actor Big Boy is a single person to grab a star in the category of Radio. Kurt Alexander from year 1997 has hosted the morning show at Los Angeles Rhythmic contemporary station KPWR (Power 106) until his move in February 2015 to KRRL (Real 92.3).

Ali MacGraw and Ryan O’Neal

Actors Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal will have a rare double star in the Walk Of Fame, organisers said. Both stars are known for their on-screen love interest, starred in the movie 1970 classic 'Love Story,' and now the two are reuniting for a two-character play called 'Love Letters'.
