A timeline of Kanye West's dating history: From Kim Kardashian to Irina Shayk & more

One of Kanye's first girlfriend was Sumeke Rainey. He dated her before he rose to stardom and things were pretty much serious between them but once West found massive success in the hip-hop industry, the two split. No one knows, who Sumeke Rainey is, but once he referenced her on his track 'Never Let Me Down,' and recalled promising Rainey’s father that he will marry her. 

"Nothing sad as that day my girl's father passed away / So I promised to Mr. Rainey I'm gonna marry your daughter," he rapped in the song.

Kanye dated designer Alexis Phifer on and off from 2002 to 2008. The couple started casually dating in 2002, but their relationship hit a rough patch when Kanye's career skyrocketed in 2004 after the release of his album 'The College Dropout'. The couple again got back together in 2006 and this time West popped the question, but the couple broke off their engagement in 2008, following West's mom unexpected death. 

Kanye West dated the former MTV employee Brooke Crittendon during his brief split from designer Alexis Phifer. Although things didn’t last long for the two and the couple called it off.

One of Kanye's most famous relationship which attracted the pap's attention and became the headline permanently. The rapper dated model Amber Rose from 2008 to 2010. Later, Rose revealed that Kim Kardashian was the main reason why their three-year-long relationship ended and called her a ''homewrecker''. 

Later, she claimed that the rapper constantly bullied her. 
 

Despite all of Amber's claims that Kanye cheating on her with Kim, after breaking up the model, the rapper went on to date model Selita Ebanks. The couple dated for a short period in 2010 and walked several red carpets together. 
 

After a tremulous 2020, that included Kanye West's bid for presidential position and his breaking down during a public event revealing some controversial things like wanting to get their first child 'aborted' to 'divorce'. Ultimately, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce on Feb. 19, 2021, after nearly seven years of marriage and almost a decade together. 

Following his split with wife Kim Kardashian, the rapper is reportedly now dating model Irina Shayk - who shares a daughter with ex-Bradley Cooper. 

The couple were spotted spending romantic three days in France at the luxurious Villa La Coste, where they together celebrated the rapper's 44th birthday.
