An eight-month-oldbaby girl was allegedly raped by her 28-year-old cousin in the national capital's Shalimar Bagh.
The incident happened on Sunday when the parents of the baby were out towork.
The incident was discovered by the mother when she returned from work and found her daughter lying in a pool of blood.
The infant was immediately admitted to a hospital where she underwent a surgery.
The condition of the baby is stable now.
"I had left for work leaving my children at home. My wife works too. So she too left for work soon after. When she came back, she saw blood-soakedbed and clothes of the child. When she told this to her sister-in-law she made excuses.My child is in critical condition now" said the father.
