Meet writer Alia Bhatt! Actress launches her first children's picture book

Alia Bhatt is a writer now! Actor, producer and entrepreneur Alia has added another feather to her illustrious hat. On Sunday (June 16), the actress launched her first book, which is a children's picture book.
Taking to her Instagram, the Raazi actress shared a picture with her first book, called Ed Finds A Home. The book was launched by her clothing brand Ed-a-Mamma, which she launched in 2020
Expressing her excitement on the new journey,Bhatt wrote in the caption, ''A new adventure begins (sun emoji) Ed finds a Home is just the beginning of a new series of books from the universe of Ed-a-mamma”.
“My childhood was full of storytelling and storytellers .. and one day I had a dream to bring out that child in me and put it into books for children.. I am so grateful to my fellow storytellers, Vivek Kamath, @shabnamminwalla and @tanvibhat.draws, who with their wonderful ideas, inputs and imagination helped bring our first book to life. Fingers crossed for this journey ahead,” she added.
For her book launch, Alia chose a special day for her grandfather Narendranath Razdan's birthday.

Before the launch, the actress penned an emotional note on social media. Sharing a throwback photo, the actress wrote in the caption, ''my favorite storyteller ☀️🫶happy birthday Grandpa, you and your stories live on in our hearts forever.''
In 2020, Alia turned entrepreneur with Ed-a-Mamma, which started as a children's clothing wear with the later addition of teansand maternity wear. The actress is also the founder of the production house Eternal Sunshine Productions. Through this company, she has backed the Netflix film Darlings.
On the work front, Alia was last seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh. The movie was a huge hit. Currently, she is gearing up for her next project Jigra. Directed by Vasan Bala, the movie will feature The Archies actor Vedang Raina. The other movie, that she's rumoured to be working on is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
