However, one particular scene of Will Byers has now gone viral on social media.

Why Will Byers' particular scene has gone viral?

When Will Byers finally addressed his identity, not everyone was fond of the scene, with many saying it was forceful as per the plotline showcased, while many are okay with it. One user wrote, "I know we're all mad about a lot of things, but I think it's really important that we put a bigger focus on the amount of homophobia Will Byers' coming-out scene is receiving. People are making jokes and disgusting comments about it. It's extremely concerning."

“I could've been okay with no Byler endgame. It's not the first time I've been queerbaited. But there's absolutely no way you treat your gay character this way. Will's coming out scene was horrible. You say you explored his feelings; never pick up a pen to write a queer character again,” wrote the third user.

Stranger Things season 5 Vol 2 review

As per WION's Pragati Awasthi, "Volume 2 feels like the Duffer Brothers had a lot to explain to give the audience a satisfactory ending with no unanswered questions left. While each episode lasts more than an hour, it eventually stretches to the point of becoming confusing.

Multiple things are happening at once, demanding a lot of focus. At the same time, whenever your attention shifts here and there, it does not make you feel guilty enough to rewind, as there is a lot already to focus on. That said, the Duffer Brothers know how to play the game, and they do. They win at some moments and lose at others."
