Dhurandhar: The Revenge has landed into a controversy after filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS claimed that the makers have copied his script. Read on to know more.
Amid the ongoing success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, Aditya Dhar's spy thriller, the film has landed in controversy after filmmaker Santosh Kumar RS claimed that the makers have copied his script.
According to him, the film's story is quite similar to a script he wrote in 2023, and he noticed the resemblance only after watching Dhurandhar: The Revenge in theatres.
Santosh claims the script is stolen
He states that the script titled D Saheb was officially registered with the Screenwriters Association in November 2023, and he also has email records and related documents to prove his point. "You all might have watched Dhurandhar 2. It is working very well everywhere. After watching the movie, I came to know that it is my script and story. I had written it with a lot of hard work in 2023," he said.

He further added that he "had narrated it to many companies," including T-Series, Sony Pictures, Dharma Productions, and Zee Studios, "because I was told that if I need big actors in the film, there has to be a corporate organisation backing it."
Santosh also alleged that Ranveer Singh's role was initially envisioned for Aditya Roy Kapur. Released on March 19, the cast also features R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sanjay Dutt in key roles.
Legal action against the film
Sharing his disappointment, Santosh stated that he is planning to move to the court for the matter. "I am putting a case on this movie because even though they have made a good movie, my story has been exploited," he said. "I had written the film for cinema and entertainment, but they made it as political propaganda. It is hurting me. I will put my maximum effort to let people know about it."
