"Even before the COVID-19 crisis we assessed a certain level of coordination between Russia and the PRC in the realm of propaganda," said Lea Gabrielle, coordinator of the State Department's Global Engagement Center, which tracks foreign propaganda.

"But with this pandemic the cooperation has accelerated rapidly," she told reporters.

"We see this convergence as a result of what we consider to be pragmatism between the two actors who want to shape public understanding of the COVID pandemic for their own purposes," she said.

The PIL, filed by Dev Ashish Dubey through advocates Dushyant Tiwari and Omprakash Parihar on Friday, sought protection for the girls and women who called out the alleged criminal activities in the social media group. The plea is likely to be heard by the court on May 13.

"The group is run by and has membership of 16 to 18-year-old boys from posh schools in South Delhi, all of whom were involved in the objectification of their classmates and other women, some as young as 14 years of age," the petitin said.It said that the expletive-laden chats show the boys discussing having physical relationship with their classmates as well as rating them on a scale of beauty."

The plea claimed that the members of the group have committed several offences, including defamation, threatening women, etc, which are punishable under several sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

It said that the actions of these students show the mindset of the young generation towards girls and added that if it is not stopped and these people are not punished, it may lead to an increase in crime against the women in the future.

The issue needs to be investigated by SIT or CBI as these students belongs to high profile families and there is an apprehension that the investigation or enquiry conducted by the local police will be influenced and wrongdoer`s will never be arrested and punished, the plea said.

''We used a very powerful technique called lucky imaging&nbsp;which scrubs out the blurring effect of looking through Earth's turbulent atmosphere,'' he added.

The technique involves obtaining a large number of very short exposure images and then only using the sharpest ones, when the Earth’s atmosphere is briefly stable, and discarding the rest.

Meanwhile, scientists in Senegal have given green light to the anti-COVID-19 drug due to which it will soon be given to the patients infected by the virus.

President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, has been promoting the herbal tonic and said on national television that it will ''change the course of history.''

“The Covid-Organics will be distributed free of charge to our most vulnerable compatriots and sold at very low prices to others. All profits will be donated to IMRA to finance scientific research,” Rajoelina wrote on Twitter.

The tonic is produced from the artemisia plant, which is one of the sources of an ingredient used in a malaria treatment.

Artemisia is cultivated in Cameroon, Kenya,Ethiopia, South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia, all in high-altitude regions and regions with a&nbsp;pronounced&nbsp;cool period.

A four-year-old&nbsp;female illama named Winter has been&nbsp;injected by a protein present on the surface of the coronavirus, in the hope of developing antivirals that could help in the treatment.

These are the ''first antibodies known to neutralise Sars-CoV-2,'' according&nbsp;to the press release of the study.&nbsp;

''The antibodies could also be used to treat somebody who is already sick to lessen the severity of the disease,''&nbsp;it added.&nbsp;

The researchers have been working on coronaviruses and in 2016 injected on a four-year-old Winter, a llama with SARS and MERS. The antibodies produced helped in targetting SARS virus's spike proteins, which allows it to stick with human cells.&nbsp;

They did a similar experiment, again on Winter,&nbsp;with COVID-19 this year to see the result. The antibodies did bind itself, but it did so "weekly". So, the team linked two copies of the antibody together for an effective result.&nbsp;

However, the team is preparing for more trials with hamsters or primates to further test the study, before applying it to humans. The first set of human testing of antibodies to start by end of the year.

This is not the first time an antibody has been developed from this animal.

There has been a pre-exisiting drug in the market to treat a blood disorder called Thrombotic Thrombo-Ctyopenic Purpura.

The biggest job loss&nbsp;America history has revealed a deep gender bias, according a recent jobs report.

In the United States,&nbsp;20.5 million jobs&nbsp;were wiped out in April with unemployment rising to 14.7 per cent, the highest since the Great Depression.

Among primary earners, the unemployment rate was even higher at 15.9 per cent.

This disproportionate impact has been attributed to the nature of job loss in the US.

Out of the 20 million jobs lost in April,&nbsp;7.7 million were from the hospitality sector and 2.5 million from education and healthcare. Both these industries are heavily dominated by women.

The development also threatens to reverse hard-earned gains made by women in workforce participation.

In January earlier this year, women accounted for more than 50 percent of the US&nbsp;workforce, an achievement that took 10 years,&nbsp;starting from 2010.

But these latest figures indicate that this may no longer be the case.

The Prime Minister stressed that stage one of the plan will not necessarily start immediately, with each state or territory needing time to prepare for restrictions to be lifted.

As per stage one, local and regional travel and&nbsp;gatherings up to 10 people will be allowed and&nbsp;schools will be re-opened.

Gyms, pools and boot camps will be able to resume services.

The second stage will allow for gatherings of up to 20 people, including cinemas and galleries, organised community sports and beauty parlours.

The third stage will permit gatherings of 100 people, with most people back in the workplace. Interstate travel is likely to resume by this time, with pubs and clubs open with social distancing restrictions.
