China released its first-ever systematic data on wild pandas on Friday, as part of a pilot project to establish monitoring sites in wild panda habitats across the country to ensure the protection of the country's national treasure.

The data shows that China has completed 873 independent detections of wild giant pandas this year through its 4,839 wild animal monitoring sites, which are scattered in southwest China’s Sichuan Province, according to the date released Friday by authorities at the Giant Panda National Park.

This is the first time that the administrative bureau, which was officially established in Chengdu on October 29, 2018, systematically released its monitoring data on wild pandas.

Of 2,337 infrared cameras in total for monitoring giant pandas, 383 cameras captured the footage of wild pandas, taking 2,586 photos and recording videos with 8,817 seconds. The shooting rate is significantly higher than the same period in previous years.

"With the continuous improvement of ecological environment and habitat quality, the wild giant pandas are steadily multiplying," said Xiang Kewen, director of the Giant Panda National Park Administration.

China has established protected areas in Sichuan, Shanxi and Gansu Provinces for the pandas.

Eight patients were on mechanical ventilation when they were put on Calquence, and four of them could be discharged, though one died of pulmonary embolism.

"These patients were in a very unstable situation, they would have had a dire prognosis ... Within one to three days the majority of these patients got better in terms of ventilation and oxygen needs," Astra's Baselga told Reuters.

Severe cases of COVID-19 are believed to be triggered by an over-reaction of the immune system known as cytokine storm and initial research has brought Calquence, and other drugs that suppress certain elements of the immune system, into play.

Vandalism dents credibility of Black Lives Matter movement in US

A massive "Black Lives Matter" mural was painted in yellow letters on a street near the White House on Friday, ahead of expected large demonstrations on Saturday to protest racism and police brutality in the United States.

In the United States, people filing for unemployment, will get a one-time payment of 1,200 dollars.

The federal goverments have also increased unemployment benefits in America. 
&nbsp; 
In India, the informal sectors especifically the migrant workers have taken the hardest punch of the pandemic.

The Modi government is spending 1000 crore rupees on them. The money is being used to provide food, accomodation, treatment and transporation.

Governments around the world are also helping corporations. The idea is to keep companies from laying-off employees.

Foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang accused Facebook of selective enforcement and said he hoped the company would "abandon its ideological prejudice".

He told reporters during a daily briefing that any media agency operating in line with relevant laws of various countries should be treated equally.

Pages managed by news agency Xinhua and the fiery nationalist tabloid Global Times are now labelled "China state-controlled media", after a policy change by the world's largest social platform.&nbsp;

Facebook's definition of state-controlled media includes influence over editorial content as well as financial backing of outlets, said the platform's cybersecurity chief Nathaniel Gleicher.

"People should know if the news they read is coming from a publication that may be under the influence of a government," he wrote in a Thursday blog post announcing the new policy.

Earlier on Friday, hundreds of protesters gathered in the nation's capital Canberra even as Prime Minister Scott Morrison urged people to stay home.

"Let's find a better way and another way to express these sentiments rather than putting your own health at risk," Morrison said.

He admitted there was more to be done to address indigenous inequality but continued to reject parallels with the United States.

"Australia is not other places, so let's deal with this as Australians and not appropriate what's happening in other countries to our country at this time."
