Ismail is the fifth finance minister of the country to be replaced in less than four years as Pakistan's economy experiences continuous instability, account deficits increase, and growing inflation puts pressure on households and businesses.

Ismail is currently in London along with the country's prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, and both are expected to return&nbsp;this week.

The finance minister last week, in conversation with Reuters, had said that the country "will absolutely not" fail its financial debts, indicating that changes were made to the economic reforms.

Ismail further said that the country was seeking debt relief from several international creditors and mentioned that the government would not accept any assistance from commercial banks or Eurobond creditors. He mentioned that Pakistan will receive assistance from Qatar and the UAE and also stated that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman assured the prime minister of a $1 billion investment.

Pakistan's central bank still stands at $8.6 billion in debt despite receiving $1.2 billion in assistance from the IMF in August.

Devastating floods that covered a significant portion of Pakistan this month have worsened the situation. The catastrophe claimed over 1,500 lives and resulted in damage of nearly $30 billion in infrastructural damage, causing worries in the country.

Disobeying the judiciary's warnings, Iranian anti-hijab protesters marched for the 10th consecutive night on Sunday (Sept 25) to demonstrate their disagreement and anger after the death of young Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini.&nbsp;

The unrest began on September 16 after Amini's death, and till now, hundreds of protesters, including journalists and activists, have been detained. Amini was detained three days prior to her death, for breaking rules requiring a tightly fitted hijab and outlawing ripped and colourful clothing.&nbsp;

With the Iranian president earlier issuing a warning on Sunday, judiciary chief Gholamhosseing Mohseni Ejei, in a statement, emphasised the need for decisive action without any tolerance against the instigators of riots.&nbsp;

As per the official toll, as of now, nearly 47 people, including protesters and security personnel, have died since the unrest began. However, as per Iran Human Rights (IHR) in Oslo, the fatalities were at least 57 as of Sunday evening, but due to internet outages, it was difficult to confirm the death toll.&nbsp;

On Sunday, web monitor Netblocks reported a "rolling blackout" and widespread internet restrictions on Whatsapp, Instagram, and Skype. This comes after Facebook, Twitter and TikTok have already been banned.

Images and videos shared by IHR and witnesses have been shared online, showing demonstrators yelling "death to dictator". The protests have been going across the country. In some videos shared of&nbsp;Tabriz, women are shown taking off their headscarves and shouting at the authorities. Not just this, several videos showed female protesters burning their hijabs, and cutting their hair during rallies.&nbsp;

Iran has been subjected to tough economic sanctions earlier and has attributed this unrest to a "foreign plot."

Hijab row: Iranians continue to protest for 10th consecutive night, ignoring judiciary's warning

Protesters clashed with police in London and Paris when they attempted to enter Iran's embassies on Sunday, in the wake of anti-hijab protests in the Islamic republic.&nbsp;

As per AFP witnesses, French police deployed tear gas and anti-riot techniques to stop hundreds of protesters from moving toward Tehran's diplomatic mission while protesting in the capital.

In London, police reported that till now 12 arrests have been made. Five police officers were "severely injured" as protesters attempted to storm through barricades surrounding the embassy. Several were injured as masonry, bottles, and other objects were thrown. At least five people were severely hurt.

As per Australian media, the federal government is preparing reforms that will mandate businesses to notify banks in the event that customer data is compromised so that lenders can subsequently check for any suspicious activities.

Ahead of the forthcoming COP27&nbsp;UN&nbsp;climate&nbsp;summit in Egypt, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi -- the latter appearing by video link -- co-hosted a meeting of world leaders for "frank exchanges" on&nbsp;climate&nbsp;action.

"My messages were stark," Guterres told reporters at the&nbsp;UN&nbsp;General Assembly following the meeting.

"On the&nbsp;climate&nbsp;emergency:&nbsp;The 1.5-degrees limit is on life support –- and it is fading fast," he said, referring to the Paris accord goal of limiting long-term warming to 1.5C above pre-industrial levels.&nbsp;

"You have all seen the appalling images from (flooding in) Pakistan. This is happening at just 1.2 degrees of global warming, and we are headed for over three degrees."&nbsp;

He called on governments to tackle "four burning issues" between now and COP27: greater ambition to keep the 1.5C possible; meeting financial commitments to the developing world; increasing support for adaptation measures, and the issue of "loss&nbsp;and&nbsp;damage".

This last point has become a critical area in&nbsp;climate&nbsp;negotiations. It concerns&nbsp;damage&nbsp;already caused by multiplying extreme weather events, which neither the measures to mitigate global warming nor those to adapt to its impacts have been able to prevent.&nbsp;

Developing nations argue that historic polluters have a moral imperative to pay for the&nbsp;loss&nbsp;and&nbsp;damage, but the idea was shot down by rich nations at COP26, who offered only to start talking about the issue at COP27.

A few days ago, the group of least developed countries meeting in Dakar once more pushed on the issue, calling for the establishment of a "funding mechanism" to deal with the&nbsp;damage&nbsp;caused by global warming.

"I hope COP27 in Egypt will take it up, as a matter of&nbsp;climate&nbsp;justice, international solidarity and building trust," said Guterres.

US: Crime podcasts can sometimes change the course of justice

Thomas Lane, a former Minneapolis police officer, has been sentenced to three years in jail on Wednesday (September 21)&nbsp;for his involvement in George Floyd's second-degree murder. Lane was further charged with two and half years for violating Flyod's civil rights in February this year.

The former police officer appeared for the hearing via video call and will serve his state sentence in federal prison at the same time as his federal sentence.&nbsp;The more serious charge for encouraging the second-degree murder of Floyd was dropped as part of Lane's plea.

However, this scenario created huge chaos amongst people when a &nbsp;video captured by a bystander at the site went viral on social media.&nbsp;

The killing sparked outrage amongst people leading to global protests over racial discrimination&nbsp;and police brutality, demanding justice for Floyd. Huge global rallies and protests were demonstrated criticising US authorities for the delay in the decision and their negligence. US authorities were pressured to take firm and quick actions.&nbsp;

The bears are reluctant to leave as the fruit trees offer a high food reward for them, especially, when they are preparing for hibernation.&nbsp;

The decision in this legal battle is yet to be declared. However, the fast food giant has been reported to be denying the accusations imposed by Allen.&nbsp;
