Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Date, Schedule: Andhra Pradesh, famous for its strong local sentiments and political landscape, has historically been a challenge for national parties during Lok Sabha elections. With a significant impact on national politics, the state has seen shifts in political equations, especially with swing votes playing a crucial role. Past elections and scenario now In the 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha Elections, Andhra Pradesh was important for the Congress to come to power at the Centre. Despite winning only two seats in the state in 2014 and none in 2019, the BJP formed the government. The 2024 elections might be a little different as I.N.D.I.A alliance, led by the Congress includes many local parties from the state. Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Number of Lok Sabha seats that Andhra Pradesh has is 25, making it the 9th largest state in terms of parliamentary representation. Among these, four seats are reserved for SC candidates and one for ST candidates. In the 2019 elections, the YSR Congress Party emerged as the dominant force, winning 22 out of the 25 seats, while both the BJP and INC did not secure any seats. Andhra Pradesh is usually one of the first states to start voting in Lok Sabha Elections, as was the case in 2019. However, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the 18th Lok Sabha elections for all 25 seats in Andhra Pradesh will take place in phase four, on May 13, 2024.
Kerala Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Dates: Polling is underway in all Lok Sabha constituencies of the south Indian state of Kerala on Friday (Apr 26) in the second phase of the mammoth exercise.

Kerala is one of the few states where the Congress remains strong. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Congress won most seats here while the BJP-led NDA didn't win any. Rahul Gandhi, a prominent Congress leader, represents a constituency in Kerala, making it important for the national party. However, the NDA plans to change this trajectory in the 2024 elections. Kerala has one of the highest voter turnout, so resonating with the people here is important for both parties.

How many Lok Sabha seats does Kerala have?

5 Secret Tips to Make Your Chai Taste the Best

Use whole spices like cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and fresh ginger. Crush them slightly before adding to the tea

Add a few fresh basil leaves (tulsi) or a small sprig of mint while brewing. These herbs can impart a refreshing and unique twist to your chai

Choose high-quality loose-leaf black tea rather than tea bags

Allow the tea and spices to simmer together for at least 10-15 minutes. This slow simmering process ensures the flavours meld perfectly, creating a well-rounded and aromatic chai.

Pour the chai from a height (traditionally called "pulling" the tea) to aerate it, which can enhance the flavour and create a frothy top. Serve in clay cups for an authentic, earthy experience that can subtly enhance the taste.

5 Ways to Cool Down Your Eyes After Excess Screen Time

Apply a cold compress or chilled eye mask to your closed eyes for 5-10 minutes. This can reduce eye strain and soothe irritation.

Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This helps relax the eye muscles and reduce fatigue.

Use lubricating eye drops to keep your eyes moist. This helps alleviate dryness and irritation caused by prolonged screen use.

Apply a small amount of refrigerated aloe vera gel around your eyes (avoid direct contact with eyes). Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties that can provide a cooling and soothing sensation.

Place used, chilled green or black tea bags over your closed eyes for 10-15 minutes. The tannins in tea can reduce inflammation and soothe tired eyes.

Quick and Easy South Indian Coconut Rice Recipe in Just 5 Steps

To make quick and easy South Indian coconut rice, start by heating 2 tablespoons of oil or ghee in a pan and add 1 teaspoon each of mustard seeds, urad dal, and chana dal until they turn golden.

Add 2 dried red chilies, 1-2 slit green chilies, a sprig of curry leaves, and a pinch of asafoetida, sautéing briefly.

Stir in 1 cup of grated fresh coconut and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

Mix in 2 cups of cooked, cooled rice with salt to taste and heat through for another 2-3 minutes.

Optionally, garnish with fried cashew nuts or peanuts and fresh coriander leaves before serving.

5 Ways to Check the Purity of Milk You Buy

Take a small amount of milk and pour it into a transparent glass of water. Pure milk will settle at the bottom as a uniform layer without leaving a trail, whereas milk adulterated with water will disperse quickly without settling.

Boil a small quantity of milk in a clean vessel. Pure milk will gradually form a creamy layer on top as it boils, while milk adulterated with water or starch will dissolve quickly and leave residue at the bottom of the vessel.

Mix a teaspoon of milk with an equal amount of soybean or arhar dal powder in a test tube. Add a few drops of pure hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid to the mixture and shake it well. A pink color indicates the presence of urea in the milk.

Dip a strip of litmus paper into a sample of milk. Pure milk will not change the colour of the litmus paper, whereas adulterated milk may turn the litmus paper blue, indicating the presence of alkaline substances.

Betalains and other antioxidants in beetroot have anti-inflammatory effects, which can help reduce inflammation and lower the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and arthritis.
