Sitharaman emphasised that the scheme highlights&nbsp;the government’s commitment to long-term financial planning and security for the country's citizens. Some of these chemicals, like PFAS and bisphenol A, are relatively well-studied and have already been found in human bodies.&nbsp;Both of these chemicals have been&nbsp;targeted by bans.&nbsp;

Geueke told news agency AFP that less information is known about the health effects of other chemicals and has asked for more research into how chemicals used for packaging are being swallowed with food. The researchers had previously said there were&nbsp;about 14,000 food contact chemicals (FCCs) chemicals, which can migrate into the food from packaging made of paper, glass, metal, or plastic. The chemicals can also come from other parts of the preparation project, such as utensils or conveyor belts.&nbsp;

The researchers searched for these chemicals in existing biomonitoring databases, and the team was expecting to find a few hundred FFCs, but they were shocked to find 3,601 – a quarter of all the existing FFCs.&nbsp;The lead author of the study&nbsp;emphasised that the research&nbsp;could not conclude that all these chemicals necessarily ended up in human bodies from food packaging, other exposure sources can also be responsible for this.&nbsp;

Bisphenol A, a hormone-disrupting chemical which is used to make plastics, was also&nbsp;found. The chemical in question is already banned from baby bottles in many countries.

Another chemical found is phthalates, which is linked to infertility. There is very little information about oligomers, the byproducts of plastic production. Geueke said: "There is almost no evidence on the health effects of these chemicals.”&nbsp;

The homeless man, identified as Lekhraj was reportedly rushed to the&nbsp;hospital but&nbsp;was declared dead on arrival.&nbsp;

According to the police, Dubey is&nbsp;from the Indian state of&nbsp;Madhya Pradesh and&nbsp;borrowed the car from a friend in South Delhi’s Mahipalpur to pay a visit to an acquaintance in Connaught Place.

While returning around 3:25 pm (local time), the car hit Lekhraj, a homeless man, who was trying to cross the road near Barakhamba Radial Road.&nbsp;

The report by PTI citing an&nbsp;anonymous source said&nbsp;that the homeless man got stuck under the car’s wheels, but Dubey mercilessly kept driving.

Dubey's car allegedly dragged&nbsp;Lekhraj for around 10 metres, after which the accused&nbsp;took off. According to the police, Dubey returned the car to his friend.&nbsp;

The accused is currently in&nbsp;police custody under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police also asserted that the car involved in the accident has been impounded, and an&nbsp;investigation is underway.

According to a report by NDTV, the driver was travelling&nbsp;from Solapur to Pune and made a halt at Hotel Gokul&nbsp;Regency in anticipation of free food.

However, as the driver&nbsp;went inside, he was reportedly stopped from entering the hotel premises. The media report citing the manager said the driver was not in an appropriate condition to enter the family restaurant, dressed in indecent attire and intoxicated to the level where he wasn’t even able to walk properly.

Some men tried to stop the truck driver’s absurd behaviour by throwing stones at the truck, urging him to stop his rowdiness.

The truck driver was eventually forced to stop&nbsp;after the wheels of the truck ceased to move.

<h2>'Truck driver was&nbsp;abusive and extremely drunk'</h2>

Prince Desai, owner of Gokul Regency told WION,&nbsp;“I was out of town when this incident took place. My manager informed me that the truck driver was abusive and extremely drunk. He could have done anything to any other person; he was that drunk.”

“As I run a family restaurant, this is a place where children and families dine. How could we let that inappropriate person enter, which would have made the place unsafe for my customers. I want to state that the hotel is nowhere at fault for not letting the person in, despite what other media platforms are trying to prove. The driver was highly intoxicated, abusive, and wasn’t even able to walk properly. We did what was needed to ensure safety.” Desai added.&nbsp;

Upon being notified of the incident, Desai immediately called 100. A police complaint has been registered, and they are still awaiting further legal action.

DMRC also suggests that passengers check whether the exact amount is returned to them before exiting the counter.

Currently, Yadav is in the hospital with a fractured leg and a possible broken spine after falling from a 12-foot high wall while trying to escape.

On Tuesday morning, Sub-Inspector Ghumendra Singh and his team were notified of the break-in at the museum. They found that the locks of two rooms, which contained valuable gold and silver artifacts, had been broken.

The stolen items included 98 ancient coins dating back to the Gupta dynasty and Mughal Empire, 75 silver coins, 38 copper coins, a gold medal, 12 mixed metal medals, and other valuable artefacts from the royal gallery, all of which were taken back.

The suspect, Yadav, who claims to be a farmer, said that he had&nbsp;visited the museum six months ago&nbsp;while&nbsp;accompanying a&nbsp;NEET examinee to the city.

Yadav also claimed that he attempted the theft so that he could give better education to his children. The goods Yadav had stolen are worth about $1,786,041 (Rs 15 crore), said officials.

During the investigation, police found that Yadav had come well-prepared for the theft. He was armed with tools to break the showcases, pry open doors, and scale walls.

Yadav had entered the museum with a ticket on Sunday evening and managed to hide inside until the museum closed.&nbsp;

Since the museum remained closed on Monday, Yadav used the opportunity to break&nbsp;into the two gallery rooms and steal&nbsp;the valuables. When the museum reopened at 10.30 am on Tuesday, the staff saw shattered glass and valuables missing.

During the search operation, Yadav was found injured as he could not climb the 25-foot wall.&nbsp;He told the police that he had entered the museum on Sunday afternoon and hid under the stairs. After closing time, he tried to escape with the artefacts but failed to do so.

All safety measures were taken by the staff as per the standard procedure. The police&nbsp;set up barricades at all exit points.

The police are also trying to find out if he had any accomplices. A detailed check of the inventory is being done to see if any precious items are still missing or not.
