Micronutrients, which include vitamins and minerals, play a significant role in maintaining proper bodily functions. They&nbsp;are essential in smaller amounts&nbsp;like fats and carbohydrates&nbsp;are vital components for good health.

The&nbsp;study, conducted by Harvard University,&nbsp;shows the insufficient consumption of 15 micronutrients&nbsp;taken through a regular diet without any additional supplements,&nbsp;among 185 countries.&nbsp;

Across the world, there are over five billion people whose&nbsp;diets&nbsp;do not include iodine, vitamin E, and calcium, according to the researchers.

In India, women intake less iodine compared to men, as per the study. It also noted that males consume less zinc and magnesium in comparison to women.

A&nbsp;woman from the Indian city of Hyderabad&nbsp;recently accused the Swiggy delivery boy of stealing the laptop and demanding a ransom of&nbsp;$178.91 (₹15,000) to return it.

Nishitha Gudipudi, a&nbsp;civil engineer&nbsp;shared the details of the bizarre incident on her LinkedIn account. She explained that her husband booked a Swiggy Genie agent a few days ago&nbsp;to deliver his backpack from the office to another one located&nbsp;in&nbsp;the Madhapur area.

The delivery boy collected the backpack, and in the middle of the delivery, he switched off his phone, Gudipudi said.

“He basically stole the laptop, and initially, we thought, okay, partially error at our end too to use Genie to deliver the laptop, but how things took a turn after is what really surprised and scared us,” she added.

The LinkedIn post stated that when her husband tried to approach customer care, they also failed to locate the driver and the identity&nbsp;of the delivery agent. They sent two pictures asking the couple to identify which one&nbsp;came to pick up the bag.

Swiggy's customer care executives weren’t able to detect the identity of the agent as their&nbsp;system registers the Aadhar card or PAN card and lets anyone use those credentials.

One of the most shocking parts, according to Gudipudi, was that when they tried contacting the agent through WhatsApp, the delivery executive said, “I will check and let you know as my friend logged in from my identity.”

In the LinkedIn post, Gudipudi shared screenshots of the conversation that took place between her and the alleged thief on WhatsApp where he demanded the money. She also shared a picture of the man’s ID.&nbsp;

Swiggy&nbsp;has not responded&nbsp;to this incident yet.

In the comment section, one of the users said, "Crime - understood but was is it really reasonable and sensible on part of the person who decided to use a B2C service to handle movement of a backpack with company laptop /Assets in it? I think it was very casual on part of the gentleman who thought it is a good idea. Also, any package must be properly sealed for transfer irrespective of any service provider getting involved. A report by the Times of India&nbsp;said that the accused is a relative of Prithvi’s mother. To hide his identity, he cunningly changed his physical appearance and never introduced himself to new people. He started considering Prithvi as his son.&nbsp;

On August 27, the police received the information that Tanuj had gone to Aligarh. When the special team arrived to arrest him, he tried to flee into the fields with Prithvi but got arrested after an eight-kilometre chase.&nbsp;

As per the investigation officers, Tanuj wanted to keep Prithivi and his mother, Poonam Chaudhary, with him, but Poonam did not want to go with him. Therefore, Tanuj and his friends kidnapped Prithvi when he was 11 months old to threaten his mother to comply with Tanju's&nbsp;demands.&nbsp;

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday (Aug 29), told the state assembly that all the state members and chief parliamentary secretaries won’t take salaries for two months as the Indian state is going through a financial crisis.

“After discussing in the cabinet, all the members of the cabinet decided that until the state sees good improvement in the coming times, we will not take any salary, nor TA, nor DA for two months,” the CM&nbsp;said.

“This is just a small amount, but a symbolic one. Apart from this, I also request all the MLAs to contribute in this regard,” he&nbsp;added.

Congress has 40 seats and&nbsp;Bharatiya Janata Party&nbsp;(BJP) has 28 members in the 68-seat state assembly.&nbsp;

The opposition leader, former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, walked out of the assembly after&nbsp;Sukhu's&nbsp;declaration.

“According to the information I have received, they will not take a salary for two months. They have just deferred it since there is a financial crisis in the state. You have created Chief Parliamentary Secretaries (CPS) which cannot be created as per the Constitution. You have given Cabinet, chairman status to many people and all facilities have been given to them. So definitely I believe this is not a solution to all the problems and they have requested all the MLAs,” the former CM&nbsp;said.

The number of liquor vends, especially of country-made liquor, was reduced. Contractors are selling liquor bottles at prices higher than the MRP printed on them. The entire excise policy was formulated only for the benefit of big players in the industry.”

He&nbsp;added, “Bidding for several liquor vends was cancelled with the excuse that there were no bidders. The same vends were later allotted by the state government to its favourite liquor contractors.”

However, Sukhu, in response, asked the BJP MLAs&nbsp;Thakur and Randhir Sharma to submit the complaint and assured them that an investigation would take place.

The Indian state of Gujarat is facing heavy rainfall which has led&nbsp;to the death of 28 people due to waterlogging and a flood-like situation.&nbsp;

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had previously issued a red alert for Thursday. It has also indicated that a cyclonic storm will develop off the coast of Gujarat on August 30, potentially leading to more heavy rainfall, currently lingering over Saurashtra and Kutch.

The IMD&nbsp;has also noted that the deep depression has remained stationary for more than six hours.&nbsp;

Recent data shows that the number of Indians who are migrating from Sweden back to India has outnumbered those who are arriving in the European country. According to the data, between January and June, a total of 2837 people of Indian origin have already left Sweden, showing a 171 per cent increase compared to last year. This has made Indians the biggest community to emigrate, even ahead of people born in China, Iraq, and Syria.

Sweden has experienced a negative migration of Indians in the first six months of 2024. It is the first time that the European country has observed such a large number of people leaving since 1998.

The data also showed that a total of 2461 Indian-born individuals had already shifted from Sweden between January and June. If we eliminate the COVID-19 factor from this context, it is the lowest immigration Sweden has experienced since 2017.

Earlier this year there has been a decent increase in Indian immigration since 2009 because of Sweden's strategic relation and ties with Nordic nations which led to hiring more people in the IT sector.&nbsp;

Dan Coatsworth, an investment analyst at AJ Bell, told BBC that&nbsp;using a private jet was not just bad for the environment, but it would also send a bad message to customers and staff and was "ultimately not a practical way to run a $105 billion business with an estimated 400,000 employees".

"A leader needs to be at the heart of a business, not sitting on the beach enjoying the perks of the job," he said.

"The fact Brian Niccol was drafted in to give a new lease of life to Starbucks implies he has a big challenge ahead. This isn’t taking the reins of a business firing on all cylinders; it’s a repair job which means being in the engine room at all times."
