The prospect of strong waves and heavy rains in the area has prompted Japan's weather agency to say it may issue a "special warning" for Kagoshima prefecture and other areas of Kyushu, the country's southernmost main island, as early as Saturday evening. According to local media, it would be the first such alert for any prefecture north of the Okinawa island group.&nbsp;

JMA official Ryuta Kurora advised locals to leave the area before it gets dark during a news conference that was broadcast on television due to the possibility of "unprecedented" storms and rains.&nbsp;

The agency predicted that southern Kyushu might receive 500 millimetres of rain on Sunday while central Tokai could receive 300 millimetres.

Prior to more extensive suspensions on Sunday, Kyushu Railway Co. started suspending several train routes on Saturday. According to broadcaster NHK, numerous weekend flights in the south have been cancelled.&nbsp;

On Saturday afternoon, Nanmadol, the 14th typhoon of the season, was moving northwest at a speed of 20 kilometres (12 miles) per hour as it passed through southern Japan's Minami-Daito Island. According to the JMA, the storm's centre is experiencing winds of 198 km/h (123 mph), with gusts as high as 270 kph.&nbsp;

The storm, which is comparable in strength to an Atlantic Ocean class 5 hurricane, is expected to turn eastward and pass over Tokyo on Tuesday before dissipating into the sea by Wednesday.

As the storm neared, domestic stations displayed pictures of severe gusts and rain pelting Japan's southern island chain of Okinawa.

“Evolution is often thought of as a series of small steps, but these ancient fossils suggest there was a larger leap between jawless and jawed vertebrates," Trinajstic said. "These fish literally have their hearts in their mouths and under their gills -- just like sharks today."

She continued by saying that the discovery provided crucial hints on the history of vertebrate anatomies.&nbsp;

The announcement about the findings added, "These features were advanced in such early vertebrates, offering a unique window into how the head and neck region began to change to accommodate jaws, a critical stage in the evolution of our own bodies."

On Friday, the prosecutor said Findsen could be sentenced to prison for up to four years under the charges, some of which belong to a section of the penal code which includes treason.

Findsen, who in January called the charges "completely insane", did not immediately comment on Friday and his lawyer only confirmed the charges.

He was arrested and suspended from duty in December last year along with three other current and former employees of the country's two intelligence agencies.

Findsen was released from custody in February. The others had been released earlier.

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has not yet approved the transfer or housing of any foreign medical students at any Indian medical institutes or universities, the Center claimed in an affidavit.

In a group of petitions submitted by undergraduate medical students in their first through fourth years at various overseas medical colleges and institutions, who are principally seeking transfer to medical colleges in India in their respective semesters, the government filed its response.&nbsp;

"It is humbly submitted that in so far as such students are concerned, there are no such provisions either under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 or the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 as well as the Regulations to accommodate or transfer medical students from any foreign medical institutes/colleges to Indian medical colleges", the government said.

However, it stated that in order to help and support these returning students who were unable to complete their MBBS programmes in Ukraine, NMC in consultation with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued a Public Notice dated September 6, 2022, indicating that NMC would accept completion of their remaining programmes abroad (with the approval of parent university/Institution in Ukraine).&nbsp;

The government stated that the parent institutions in Ukraine are expected to award the certificate, completion, or degree after they have finished their remaining courses.

According to the students' claims, it is unclear whether Indian universities fall under the category of "universities in different countries globally" even though the public notice from September 6 states that there is no opposition to the academic mobility programme, which involves temporarily relocating the affected foreign students in different foreign countries around the world.&nbsp;

After months of delay, Indian education company Byju's has finally made its audited financial statements public. However, the revelations are unlikely to end the swirl of controversy surrounding the nation's most valued startup.&nbsp;

As it increased spending to support growth, the company's losses increased 13-fold in the year ending in March 2021, to 45.7 billion rupees ($575 million). However, sales, at 24.3 billion rupees, barely moved from the previous year.&nbsp;

According to unaudited figures, sales for the fiscal year ending in March 2022 more than doubled to nearly 100 billion rupees. The following four months saw a rise in revenue to 45 billion rupees, and this year, sales are expected to increase by more than 50 per cent, according to Raveendran.
