Microsoft will sell its chat and video app Teams separately from its Office product globally, the US&nbsp;tech giant said on Monday, six months after it unbundled the two products in Europe in a bid to avert a possible EU antitrust fine.

The European Commission has been investigating Microsoft's tying of Office and Teams since a 2020 complaint by Salesforce-owned competing workspace messaging app Slack.

Teams, which was added to Office 365 in 2017 for free, subsequently replaced Skype for Business and became popular during the pandemic due in part to its video conferencing.

Rivals, however, said packaging the products together gives Microsoft an unfair advantage. The company started&nbsp;selling the two products separately in the EU&nbsp;and Switzerland on Oct. 1 last year.

"To ensure clarity for our customers, we are extending the steps we took last year to unbundle Teams from M365 and O365 in the European Economic Area and Switzerland to customers globally," a Microsoft spokesperson said.

"Doing so also addresses feedback from the European Commission by providing multinational companies more flexibility when they want to standardise their purchasing across geographies."

Microsoft said in a blogpost that it was introducing a new lineup of commercial Microsoft 365 and Office 365 suites that do not include Teams in regions outside the EEA (European Economic Area) and Switzerland, and also a new standalone Teams offering for Enterprise customers in those regions.

Starting April 1, customers can either continue with their current licensing deal, renew, update or switch to the new offers.

For new commercial customers, prices for Office without Teams range from $7.75 to $54.75 depending on the product while Teams Standalone will cost $5.25. The figures may vary by country and currency. The company did not disclose prices for current packaged products.

“This was not a shootout …This was one person who decided to pull a gun based on an altercation occurring with another man and then he fired multiple shots,” said Nashville police spokesperson Don Aaron, further stating that the authorities have most probably identified the assailant.

The name of the suspect or those who were hit by the bullets was not revealed by the police. Four victims who suffered injuries did not have critical wounds, as per media reports.

A person, who was grazed by a bullet, and a pregnant woman who had a panic attack after the shootout, were transported to hospitals by&nbsp;medical responders.

According to Aaron, the suspected gunman had reached the restaurant minutes before the shooting. He was accompanied by a woman who also fled with him in the Mercedes SUV.

According to the police, the man who died and the gunman had a heated argument which escalated quickly.&nbsp;

"There was an altercation between two men at Roasted. Sunday brunch was being served. During that time period, the altercation occurred and escalated, very sharply, to one of the men pulling a gun and firing multiple shots," said Aaron&nbsp;at a press conference.

The restaurant Roasted, which calls itself “a safe haven where community thrives, love is in the air, and good times are shared”, was filled with customers, along with children, who were enjoying Easter brunch when the firing took place, as per social media posts.

"Days before the attack in Russia, Tehran shared information with Moscow about a possible big terrorist attack inside Russia that was acquired during interrogations of those arrested in connection with deadly bombings in Iran," one of the sources told Reuters.

Iran&nbsp;arrested&nbsp;35 people in January, including a commander of Islamic State's Afghanistan-based branch ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K), who it said were linked to twin bombings on Jan. 3 in the city of Kerman that killed nearly 100 people.

Islamic State&nbsp;claimed&nbsp;responsibility for the Iran blasts, the bloodiest since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. US&nbsp;intelligence sources&nbsp;said ISIS-K had carried out both the Jan. 3 attacks in Iran and the March 22 shootings in Moscow.

Islamic State once occupied large swathes of Iraq and Syria, imposing a reign of terror and inspiring lone wolf attacks in Western countries, but was declared territorially defeated in 2017.

However ISIS-K, one of its most fearsome branches, has raised the group's profile again with large-scale bloodshed.

ISIS-K, named after an old term for a region that encompassed parts of Iran, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, emerged in eastern Afghanistan in late 2014 and quickly established a reputation for extreme brutality.

A second source, who also requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the issue, said the information Tehran provided to Moscow about an impending attack had lacked specific details regarding timing and the exact target.

The French National Institute of Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP) excavated the courtyard cellars of the Lagorce Hotel in 2023. The hotel was built in the 18th century above the ruins of a medieval fort called Château de l'Hermine. Located in Vannes, the castle was built as a fortress and residence for John IV, Duke of Brittany, in 1381. After the Vikings were expelled from the region, Brittany was a medieval feudal state from the 10th to the 16th centuries. A line of hereditary dukes ruled the Duchy of Brittany, essentially a tiny country. John IV came to power in 1365. He built several house fortresses throughout Brittany. He made Château de l'Hermine the seat of the Duchy. However, the castle only lasted for a century and fell into disrepair. John IV's grandson, Francis II, moved to the capital of the Duchy out of Vannes. From the 18th to 20th centuries, several buildings were built above the castle like a hotel, a law school, and a government office. The exact plan of John IV's castle remained unknown until 2021. Archaeologists started unveiling its foundation in anticipation of turning the historic building into the new Museum of Fine Arts. Archaeologists also found the ground floor of the residence during excavations in the old hotel's courtyard. They also found a tower overlooking an exterior moat. The castle was about 138 feet (42 metres) long and 56 feet (17 metres) wide, with walls up to 18 feet (5.5 metres) thick. There were several staircases inside, including a ceremonial one, along with carved moulding and decorated door jambs.
