<p>The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said that its offices in Gaza were damaged by the shelling which, according to the organisation, killed 22 people and wounded 45 others, on Friday (Jun 21) afternoon.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ICRC said that the shelling took place near its Gaza office, which is surrounded by hundreds of displaced civilians living in tents, but did not say who fired it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The location mentioned by the emergency officials and that of the Red Cross hospital is said to be just outside an Israeli-designated safe zone on the Mediterranean coast, known as Muwasi, west of Rafah.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A spokesperson from the Israel Defence Force (IDF) said “there is no indication that a strike was carried out by the IDF” but that the incident was “under review”. However, it did not provide any other details.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Israel, as per reports, has previously bombed locations in the vicinity of the “humanitarian zone” in Muwasi. The has also previously said that it is conducting “precise, intelligence-based” actions in the Rafah area.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, American media reports on Thursday (June 20) said that a newly released video has raised questions about whether Saudi Arabia provided&nbsp;crucial assistance to the hijackers during the attacks. All the hijackers were from, or had links to, Saudi Arabia.</p>

<p>The video was unsealed in federal court earlier this week, and obtained by&nbsp;60 Minutes, a report by CBS News said.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>The 1999 video</strong></h2>

<p>The video was shot in the summer of 1999, three months before&nbsp;Al Qaeda decided to carry out the attacks. The video features&nbsp;Omar al-Bayoumi, whom the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) described as&nbsp;an operative of the Saudi intelligence service with close ties to two of the 9/11 hijackers.</p>

<p>Retired FBI agent Richard Lambert, who had led&nbsp;the initial 9/11 investigation in San Diego, said, "It is another very large brick in a massive wall of evidence that at this point indicates the Saudi government was complicit in the 9/11 attacks."</p>

<h2><strong>The contents of the video</strong></h2>

<p>The video showed Bayoumi filming the footage over several days. It showed&nbsp;entrances and exits of the US&nbsp;Capitol along with security posts and a model of the building.</p>

<p>At one point, the man could be seen pointing out the&nbsp;Washington Monument, and saying he would go there&nbsp;and "report to you in detail what is there."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Lambert told CBS News that the knowledge of&nbsp;where the Washington Monument was in relation to other DC landmarks could help guide people toward intended targets. The retired FBI agent is now a consultant on the case filed by the families of 9/11 victims to hold Saudi Arabia responsible for the attacks.</p>

<p>Federal investigators believe that hijackers on Flight 93, which crashed near&nbsp;Shanksville, had the Capitol as their likely target.</p>

When Bayoumi recorded this video,&nbsp;he was often with two Saudi diplomats who the FBI said had ties to Al Qaeda. Riyadh has disputed this finding.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is believed that the British Police&nbsp;turned over the video to the FBI shortly after 9/11, and this has raised questions about why was the footage surfacing after two decades.</p>

<p>"It may be noted that the case has no complainants left anymore and they had declared in the court that they were led into signing statements that they didn't even understand. They had neither intended to nor initiated such proceedings. All of them further testified that the four Hinduja Family Members treated them with “respect, dignity and like family”," the statement read.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dulai has been seen with Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh, who is the leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP). Dulai’s activities include meetings with Paranjit Singh Panjwar, Chief of the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF), and Lakhbir Singh Rode, leader of the International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF). Both are banned terror organisations in India. He is also associated with Khalistan centres which are aimed at mobilising the community in Canada to support the separatist ideology.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bhagat Singh Brar, is the son of Lakhbir Singh Brar (alias Lakhbir Singh Rode), another prominent Khalistani extremist, is deeply involved in furthering Khalistan ideology in Canada. Lakhbir Singh Brar was the nephew of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, who in the 1980s led the Khalistan extremist ideology.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Brar serves as the General Secretary of the Ontario Gurdwara Committee (OGC) and is affiliated with the International Sikh youth federation-R (Canada Chapter). His activities include organising and participating in numerous anti-India protests and supporting various Khalistani causes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Brar travelled to Pakistan in 2018, 2015 to meet with ISI officials and plan terror activities in India. His involvement in these activities includes providing financial support and coordinating with operatives to arrange arms and ammunition for planned attacks. In early April 2024, Khalistani radicals, including Brar, organised flag-raising events in Brampton and Milton, Ontario, to observe "Khalistani Flag Raising Day".</p>

<p>More than eight months into the war, Israel’s advance is now focused on the two last areas its forces had yet to seize: Rafah on Gaza’s southern edge and the area surrounding Deir al-Balah in the centre.</p>
