A court in the US state of Florida has ordered the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein's case, in a surprise move that will shed light on &nbsp;the macabre crimes of late sex offender, including payments to minors.

The documents including grand jury material - some of them graphic- run into around 200 pages and relates to one of the first cases against the financier-sex trafficker.

It has first-hand victim accounts specifics about payments to underage girls, in several cases to buy their silence.

While SEBI has not made the notice public, two sources at the regulator with direct knowledge of the matter confirmed its authenticity.

The allegations, if proven, could result in monetary penalties and the payback of any illegal gains.

Hindenburg&nbsp;responded saying the notice is "nonsense" and an attempt to silence and intimidate by alleging that&nbsp;Hindenburg's report contained misrepresentations and inaccurate statements meant to mislead readers.

"In our view, SEBI has neglected its responsibility, seemingly doing more to protect those perpetrating fraud than to protect the investors being victimized by it,"&nbsp;Hindenburg&nbsp;said.

The disclosure of the SEBI notice adds a new twist in the saga that began last year when&nbsp;Hindenburg, founded by Nathan Anderson, alleged improper business dealings by Adani.

Adani, which refuted the allegations, suffered a loss of as much as $150 billion in combined market value after the report, but has since rebounded.

In the notice, SEBI alleges&nbsp;Hindenburg&nbsp;colluded with its client Kingdon Capital Management by providing a draft of its report on Adani Group before it was released publicly.

SEBI alleges that Mark Kingdon, the owner of Kingdon Capital, then set up a fund able to trade Indian equities known as K Indian Opportunities Fund. That fund created short positions in Adani group stocks between Jan. 10, 2023, and Jan. 20, 2023, five days ahead of the&nbsp;Hindenburg&nbsp;report being published, according to the SEBI documents.

In its statement,&nbsp;Hindenburg&nbsp;said a Mauritius registered unit of Kotak Mahindra Bank, an Indian firm, created and oversaw an offshore fund structure that was used by its "investor partner" to bet against Adani's shares.

The positions were squared off in February, leading to gains of $22.25 million, the SEBI documents said.

Hindenburg&nbsp;in its statement does not comment on its relationship with Kingdon.

An email to&nbsp;Hindenburg&nbsp;Research&nbsp;and Kingdon Capital was not immediately answered.

SEBI has not replied to a request for comment on&nbsp;Hindenburg's statement and to confirm the authenticity of the show cause order.

Kotak did not reply to a request for comment.

Fox aired “The Trial of Hunter Biden: A Mock Trial for the American People” on its Fox Nation streaming platform in October 2022 but later took it down under threat of lawsuit by Biden’s attorneys.

Fox News said in a statement that its coverage of Hunter Biden and investigations into his conduct has been accurate and is protected by the First Amendment of the US&nbsp;Constitution.

Hurricane Beryl made landfall on Carriacou Island,&nbsp;on Monday (Jul 1)&nbsp;at 11:10 am (local time). The National Hurricane Center said that the Category 4 storm triggered winds reaching 150 mph, up from 130 mph. Accuweather said the hurricane is not expected to make landfall in the United States&nbsp;but it advised people to stay alert.

The country's Missile Administration will conduct another launch of the same type of missile in July to test the "explosion power" of the super-large warhead, KCNA said in a rare disclosure of a future missile launch plan.

The Hwasongpho-11, or Hwasong-11, is a series of short-range ballistic missiles (SRBM) developed by the North that are otherwise known as KN-23 and KN-24.

South Korea's military said on Monday the first of the two missiles launched by the North appeared to be a KN-23 that flew about 600 km (373 miles).

Australia doubles foreign student visa fee to curb migration, Indian students likely to be hit

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, federal prosecutor and legal adviser to Donald Trump, was found guilty of making repeated false statements about Trump’s 2020 election loss. He was disbarred in the state on Tuesday (Jul 2).&nbsp;

A New York appeals court in Manhattan ruled that Giuliani "repeatedly and intentionally made false statements ... concerning the 2020 Presidential election, in which he baselessly attacked and undermined the integrity of this country's electoral process".&nbsp;

"In so doing, respondent not only deliberately violated some of the most fundamental tenets of the legal profession, but he also actively contributed to the national strife that has followed the 2020 Presidential election, for which he is entirely unrepentant," it added.&nbsp;

The court added that Giuliani is now "disbarred from the practice of law, effective immediately, and until the further order of this Court".&nbsp;

The court also ruled that his name was "stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in the State of New York". Giuliani already had his New York law license suspended in 2021 for false statements he made after the election.&nbsp;

Arthur Aidala, who is Giuliani's attorney, said as quoted by The Associated Press that they were "obviously disappointed” but not surprised by the decision.&nbsp;

Aidala added that they "put up a valiant effort" to prevent the disbarment but "saw the writing on the wall".&nbsp;

Giuliani, who was New York City mayor from 1994 to 2001, declared bankruptcy in December following a jury's $148 million damages order for fabricating allegations of election fraud against two Georgia poll workers.&nbsp;

He, along with Trump, has also been charged with racketeering in Georgia for allegedly plotting to rig the 2020 election results in the state's southern region. He is also facing election-related allegations in Arizona.&nbsp;

According to David, the party's leadership had failed to address issues of racism and bigotry among its ranks, leaving her "significantly frustrated and dismayed."

“I am in no doubt that the party and its senior leadership are not racist. As the vast majority of candidates are indeed racist, misogynistic, and bigoted, I do not wish to be directly associated with people who hold such views that are so vastly opposing to my own and what I stand for,” she said.

"The American people must decide if they want to entrust… once again, the presidency to Donald Trump, now knowing he'll be more emboldened to do whatever he pleases, whenever he wants to do it," he said.

Currently in its transition phase, CBAM which is expected to be implemented in 2026, is incorporating feedback from various stakeholders, including trading partners, companies, and industries. The initiative focuses on high-emission sectors such as steel and aluminium.

“A lot of the industries that I have met are saying that they have products that are sustainable, even having embedded emissions less than the EU,” noted Thomas.

&nbsp;He explained that CBAM is designed to create a level playing field, rewarding sustainability and incentivising companies to produce greener products.&nbsp;

“It creates positive competition between the companies, and the ones that are greener have a better and more open access,” the EU official stated.&nbsp;

It is an environmental measure focusing primarily on specific sectors such as steel and aluminum, where we have substantial imports.”
