Nancy Allen was on&nbsp;a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft operated by&nbsp;Southwest,&nbsp;flying from Columbus, Ohio, to Tampa, Florida, earlier this month. While the plane was&nbsp;four miles from the runway in Tampa, Flight 425 dropped to 175 feet above the ocean.

An air traffic controller had to notify the crew about their extremely low altitude, leading to the plane being diverted to Fort Lauderdale, about 200 miles away.

As the passengers started to panic, Allen sent her husband text messages. "I was concerned we were flying in a Tampa storm, so I opened my window," she told WFLA.

The video shot on her phone shows the Boeing plane rising back up after attempting to land in Tampa, then being redirected to Fort Lauderdale.

Allen explained that she realised something was wrong at that moment, saying, "I was feeling a little panic. At that moment I panicked, and I started texting my husband this is sketchy and I was texting him, abort, abort."

Even though the flight landed safely and no one was unharmed, Allen said that the reason behind the disturbance is still unknown.

"That was the worst flight I have been on in a really long time," she said.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating the cause behind the incident.

"Southwest Flight 425 safely diverted to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on July 14 after the Crew discontinued their planned approach into Tampa International Airport. The aircraft returned to Tampa after a short time on the ground in Fort Lauderdale. Southwest is following its robust Safety Management System and is in contact with the Federal Aviation Administration to understand and address any irregularities with the aircraft’s final approach," a statement from Southwest Airlines said.

"Nothing is more important to Southwest than the Safety of our Customers and Employees," it added.

This comes after a similar incident that happened last month when a Boeing 737 also operated by&nbsp;Southwest Airlines descended to less than 500 feet over a town in Oklahoma.

Trump claims he was hit by a bullet that grazed the upper portion of his right ear after he moved his head just in time to avoid getting shot in the head. However, the FBI director has his suspicions.&nbsp;

"With respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether it was a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear," Wray said while testifying in front of the House Oversight Committee.&nbsp;

“As I sit here right now, I don’t know whether that bullet… in addition to causing the grazing, could have landed somewhere else," he added.&nbsp;

Notably, 20-year-old gunman, Thomas Crooks, had fired a volley of eight rounds towards the former US president using an AR-15 rifle while he was addressing the rally in an open field.&nbsp;

Wray said his team had accounted for all the shots in the cartridges, including the ones that killed a rallygoer and wounded two others. Wray highlighted that Crooks' gun had a collapsible stock that made it easy to hide the gun.

<h2>FBI surprised&nbsp;</h2>

In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the FBI had thrown the US Secret Service under the bus by claiming it was 'surprising' that the shooter was able to fire the rifle.&nbsp;

“It is surprising but, to get all the details of that will come out later in the investigation," said Kevin Rojek, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Pittsburgh field office when asked if he was surprised at the number of shots.&nbsp;

"The Secret Service really needs to answer that question,” Rojek stated, adding that the FBI was only there to support the Secret Service who were in charge of securing the scene.

The premier security agency last week confirmed that Crooks had searched for Trump as well as his successor Joe Biden in the lead-up to the events of July 13.&nbsp;

FBI added that Crooks searched for dates of Trump appearances and the Democratic National Convention (DNC) where Democrats were previously expected to certify Biden's nomination for the president before he dropped out of the race.

The Park Fire in no time swelled into a massive wildfire in California and eventually became the state's largest blaze of this season as it burned down structures and more than 120,000 acres of land and led to the evacuation of thousands of people.&nbsp;

The authorities on Thursday (July 25) said that the wildland fire was allegedly started by a man who had pushed a torched car into a 60-foot embankment.&nbsp;

In an investigation, it was found that the vehicle was on fire when it was pushed near the Alligator Hole in upper Bidwell Park before 3 pm (local time) on Wednesday (July 24).

Some witnesses had reported seeing the suspect leaving the area calmly after throwing away the car while other people ran seeing the rapidly spreading fire.

The investigators quickly responded to the fire and secured the area as they started to search for clues about the unknown man who dumped the car which was on fire.

In the investigation, the officials found the identity of the man after which a warrant was issued by a local judge and he was finally arrested.

The suspect identified as 48-year-old Ronnie Dean Stout II was arrested and put behind prison without bail, as stated by Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey.

"The car went down an embankment approximately 60 feet and burned completely, spreading flames that caused the Park Fire," said Ramsey, in a statement.

As the skies of the West Coast remained filled with black smoke rising from the blaze, the Park Fire in Butte County and the Durkee Fire in Oregon, became the largest wildfire in the nation.

The Butte County Sheriff's Department had to order evacuations in the area's rural foothill communities because of the wildfire.

More than 1,100 firefighters tried to douse the flames by cutting fire lines with bulldozers and using helicopters as they tried to stop the fire from reaching the homes of people living in the populated areas of north Chico, said the authorities.

"The fire is well established. Fire personnel are currently focusing on evacuations and structure defence while concurrently building direct containment lines utilizing bulldozers, fire crews and fire engines," said Cal Fire, in an updated statement.&nbsp;

"More resources have been ordered and are inbound from various areas throughout Northern California," it added.&nbsp;
