On Monday Israel’s military said that fighter jets struck a number of Hezbollah weapons storage facilities in the area of Bekaa in Lebanon, and large amounts of weapons had been hit.

That Israeli strike came after a soldier in northern Israel was killed by Hezbollah fire, the latest death in 10 months of cross-border exchanges between Iran-backed Hezbollah and Israeli forces.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) issued a statement saying, "Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the areas of the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights, approximately 55 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanese territory. Some of the projectiles were intercepted, while the rest fell in open areas. No injuries were reported."

But the high-profile acquisition landed Lynch into controversy and he was mired in a legal battle for over a decade. He was facing two decades in jail on multiple fraud charges but was acquitted in the US. In 2018, US prosecutors charged him for artificially inflating the company's value.

“We are working around the clock to reunite hostages with their families and surge humanitarian help and food assistance into Gaza now. To end civilian suffering of the Palestinian people and finally, finally, deliver a ceasefire and end this war,” said Biden.&nbsp;

The president then acknowledged the thousands of anti-Israel protesters who demonstrated outside the convention centre by stating "They have a point".&nbsp;&nbsp;

Nearly 29,000 houses have been damaged and 90,000 hectares of crops destroyed, Vietnam's General Statistic Office said late last month.

In Son La province, about 1.3 million people have been affected, according to Save the Children, who said floods had left the countryside strewn with broken bridges and heavily damaged roads.

Eleven people have died in the area, and around 2,670 houses and 29 school buildings were damaged, according to Vietnam's disaster officials.

Save the Children said 4,500 children would face "safety challenges" as they try to return to school at the beginning of September.

"The recovery will take many months and without immediate intervention, these children could face numerous dangers," Le Thi Thanh Huong, Country Director of Save the Children Vietnam, said in a statement.

According to the charity, Ha Cong Minh, the principal of a school in Son La province, said "the road to school is very rough with landslides and broken bridges making it hard to travel. Children must cross streams to get to school."

Floods caused around $85 million in damages in the first seven months of the year, double the figure of last year, according to Vietnam's General Statistic Office.

Ninety-one people were killed or reported missing due to adverse weather during that period, it said.

Sperm donations initially made in the UK are being exported to other countries in violation of rules, creating a situation of children being 'mass-produced' in multiple countries in Europe and beyond, according to a report.

Rules limit each sperm donation to 10 families in Britain, but there's no such limit on sperm or eggs from the country being sent abroad. This legal loophole is being exploited in what appears to be an industrial-level practice.

Such exports lead to more donor-conceived children abroad, who "could have to navigate relationships with dozens of biological half-siblings across Europe," The Guardian newspaper said in an exclusive report.

<h2>Why is UK sperm donations abroad a cause of concern?</h2>

“I’m not against there being more than 10 families if some are outside the UK, but 75, which some of these banks have alighted on, is a heck of a lot of relatives," Sarah Norcross, director of the fertility charity Progress Educational Trust told The Guradian.&nbsp;

These days, donor anonymity is practically non-existent, and it's possible to track down biological parents using new DNA testing options proliferating online.

While making contact with biological half-siblings is viewed positively, but when their numbers grew, it "felt unmanageable to have contact and relationships with a growing and indeterminate number of people,” said Prof Lucy Frith of the University of Manchester.

“Once you’ve frozen sperm it doesn’t get any older,” said Prof Jackson Kirkman-Brown, chair of the Association for Reproductive and Clinical Scientists.

This means donor sperm can be used over years or decades.&nbsp;“You can end up with donor siblings older than your parents,” Kirkman-Brown said, giving a hypothetical scenario.

Donations are "presented to donors as a beautiful gift to help someone create a family, not as, ‘We’re going to maximise the number of births from your gametes and make as much money as we can from that,’” said Prof Nicky Hudson, a medical sociologist at De Montford University.&nbsp;

<h2>Who is in control of sperm donation rules in the UK?</h2>

The rules in Britain regarding sperm and egg donations are controlled by Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA). “As the HFEA has no remit over donation outside of HFEA licensed clinics, there would be no monitoring of how many times a donor is used in these circumstances,” Rachel Cutting, director of compliance and information at the HFEA, was quoted as saying in the Guardian report.

More than 50,000 activists are expected to flock to downtown Chicago from Monday for the four-day bonanza, set to be a festive celebration of the Democratic Party's new standard-bearer, Vice President Kamala Harris.

High profile participants from musicians and Hollywood stars to President Joe Biden are expected, and the Secret Service, FBI and local police have spent a year planning an ironclad security cordon around the downtown United Center arena.&nbsp;

Lucas Rothaar, the FBI's top special agent in Chicago, told journalists at a briefing there were no specific concerns but warned of an "elevated threat environment."
